About 2 years ago, I was in West Palm Beach for our fantasy football draft. A bunch of us get together every year in West Palm for this. We were at Cheetah's (strip club in West Palm) pregaming for the draft. It was about 1:00 in the afternoon and my buddy spotted him sitting at the bar having a drink by himself. My buddy walked up to him and told him he was the greatest player he has ever seen play the game. Since he is a big Patriots fan, he went on about watching him play in the era with Andre Tippett. LT shook his hand, and left. The bartender then got mad at my buddy and said "he just wanted to be left alone" Anyways, i know he claims he had been clean for years. Not sure how true this is, but I have a feeling he has been on and off the wagon a lot the past few years or so

The initials just seemed sacrosanct as they pertained to the greatness of Lawrence Taylor -- when Tomlinson started to be referred to as LT, I just thought he was being a pompous upstart. I'm not the only one who thought that way -- I remember their being a bit of good natured controversy about it -- Like "There can only be 1 LT, sorry kid".
I never considered his initials to be anywhere near sacrosanct 1. I don't give a fuck about the Giants or anyone who plays/played for them 2. He was arguably one of the biggest human PoS while he played It's not like Tomlinson was walking around calling himself "LT", it was other people giving him that name. If it was him saying that he was "The Real LT", then I could see someone having a problem with that one, but it was a nickname that was bestowed upon him, mostly because he has a very uncommon name.
Yeah, I should have qualified that with "Greatness as a player" -- Not his off the field antics. He's no stranger to prostitution -- as he often utilized them to keep his opponents up all night before a game. I seriously doubt he is clean right now, as well -- the best decisions are never made while geeked up on coke. I've never been a Giants fan, nor a Giants hater. I was just always in awe of Taylor, when I watched him as a kid. But with this shit now, his Leagacy already tarnished, is now just annihilated. Maybe not on par with O.J. Simpson -- but destroyed nonetheless.
