Looks like the Jets had a good draft, but it’s the same old Jets

Your post is very convincing except where you call Watson a punk.

How is Watson a punk? Looks to be a good dude and a fantastic competitor, to me.

I don't get why everyone's so down on Darron Lee. He had a rocky start and got banged up. But he really showed well at the end of the year. He could very well end up being a tackling machine for us provided we find a banger to replace David Harris.

The roster is better than most give it credit for. There's just too much unknown for Jets fans to bear on the offensive side of the ball which is why everyone's so freaked out.

We go about the rebuild the proper way in not signing high priced free agents and shit and everyone still bitches. If we went out and tossed money around for a quick winner everyone would still bitch.

There's no winning with some of you guys.

Hackenberg has not lived up to expectations? The guy has never lost a single game! What were the expectations that he would have played better in preseason? That he would have been so amazing in practice that the Jets had to start him?

Hackenberg has not lived up to expectations. Most reporters and writers that cover the Jets have called him many things from "disappointing" to "stunted growth", to already "a bust according to football data analysis experts". He was even been called "a waste of a selection", and some said he might be outright cut if we drafted a QB.

I hope the kid becomes the next Brady, but he is being compared to Ryan Leaf by the media. These are not my words, but words from people who are paid to follow and analyze football.

Also, Watson is a punk, just like Geno Smith. Watson put down Trubisky and called it an "insult" for Trubisky to be drafted before him. Is that what a professional player would say? Yes, if he is a punk. A humble player would have said he feels he should be drafted as the first QB off the board and based on his volume of work. Maybe that he is the better draft pick, but wishes Trubisky luck and they will see what the future holds. Nope, not Watson.

Ryan Leaf was the 2nd pick of the draft and a complete nutcase. Please link me to whomever called Hack then next Ryan Leaf so I can know who not to read in the future.

My guess is you're making that up.

I didn't really look too hard but by simply googling "Christian Hackenberg Ryan Leaf" there are close to no results. Only dumb fan commentary comparing the two. Which kind of falls right in line with what we have here.

If any of you care more about the color of the player's skin than a trophy in the case, you are racist. Sorry to burst your bubble but the only thing that matters is winning. I have been a Jets fan for more than 40 years any don't care what you think. I spent 26 years in the military being a man, while most of you momma's boys probably lived in your parent’s basement. I know many of you are Millennials and think you should get a participation trophy, but in the real world, the runner up is first loser. No one on this forum should have to justify themselves as non-racist, and those who are the first ones to scream racism are usually the real culprits.

I'm a conservative independent and just because I use the word conservative first, I have been called a racist a lot over the last year, and fucknuts like you don't deserve any further response. I know there are a lot of libtards out there and I've grown use to listening to your stupidity.

On the lighter side; the last time the Jets won the Super Bowl I was too young to remember and I want them to win another one before I depart this world, but the shitty FO and shittier coaching staff seem hell bent on destroying that hope. So after this season in which we will be lucky to win six games, I hope we get a real coach and GM with real experience. I am sick of first time HC and GMs who can’t find their own head because it’s up their ass.

Nothing screams "I don't care what you think" like bringing up your military service.

Where are you getting a GM with "real" experience???? Mac had experience in scouting and as an assistant GM. That's all you get, and you're lucky if you get that. Neither Tanny nor Idzik had that. Once a GM is fired in the NFL, he almost never gets a second chance. That's because owners are usually very slow to pull the trigger on firing a GM. They've usually given him 5-10 years of drafts, FA periods, and even an opportunity to hire a new HC.
