this is absolutely necessary. and hopefully he can coach or get someone to coach rex on how he deals with the media. he just cant keep going out there looking a fool like he did this past year. and if rex is still here a month from now i will surely eat crow i am not a rex hater, i just felt it would be a bad idea to force him on any gm candidates.
Im getting that feeling too. Wont be a bad thing either, we did good for awhile with sancho who completed around 54% of his passes and would throw around 18 picks and was a fumbling machine. Smith completes well over 60% rarely throws picks and rarely fumbles. He also has some good wheels on him.
Wait you didnt hear?! Smith is the same as "Suckchez" duh! You know, minus the numbers and facts. I'm all for Smith.
My concern, does he know anything about cap situations? He is coming into a horrific situation for a first timer.
I just hope Gamble signs with the Jets. Best "fallback" option would be the Giants' Ross. If Chip Kelly signs with Cleveland and Gamble likes what he sees, are search could continue. Not trolling here, but maybe Gamble cancelled his Jags interview because it sounds like David Caldwell is their guy...
Tanny is the one that got us in this cap mess. No GM is going to want to bring in that fool. I hope so. Finally get our franchise QB.
If we get Alex Smith then bring in Norv to. I feel like we can get Alex cheap to cuz Harbaugh has moved on.
alex smith is still under contract. with that being said, do you guys seriously think he is worth a trade? dude has only become consistent recently, he was pretty bad for a while. in my opinion, he was only talented because of everything around him. we got nothing around us on offense right now
I'm more interested in who will be our offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. The GM really only helps prior to the season start. Plus anything associated with Kotitte years has to have some concerns. Especially talent evaluation wise. After all it was Kotitte who said a WR couldn't get separation and the Jets shouldn't draft him. The receiver turned out to be Jerry Rice.
Smith or Flynn, the two QB choices not as good as Matt Moore would each cost the Jets draft choices I'm betting that Gamble, unlike Tannenblows will not be one to throw away draft choices like penny candy for trade ups like the Turnover Machine, Greene and Keller and trades for worthless players such as Tebow thus Moore as a UFA is 1) the way to go and 2) the best choice out there for a 2013 starting QB for the Jets
Remember that time you said Moore would be better for us than Smith? That was a good one. Lets stop with the jokes though and really discuss some football.
