as a hokies fan, I'd say that would be a wasted draft pick unless you plan on putting him back at TE where he belongs. even so, he hasn't played there since high school. would not be surprised to see him go undrafted

Yup, Bortles came out of nowhere to be maybe a top 5 pick and before McShay started talking about him nobody had ever heard about him. We've been hearing about Teddy and Manziel and McCarron and Carr and Boyd for at least 2 years now, really productive guys.

Now all of a sudden McShay is saying Savage is going top 40. A guy who transferred twice and only played one full year. Crazy.

Had Mettenberger and Murray not gotten hurt this class might have had 8 first and second rounders in it.

Too funny right? I would love to see him still on the board at 18.

I ditto this. He's the only QB i'd take at 18, minus Johnny. He'll go in the top 3 though.

Well at this rate, it still might. QB is the most popular, and important position in the sports world. With how contracts are now especially, teams will take risks high in drafts more, and more. I expect 4 or 5 first round QBs, and 2-4 more in the 2nd round.

Yes, Rex's son plays at Clemson. I'd be happy if Boyd dropped to us in the middle or lower rounds then proved to be a quality QB. The Combine and Sr. Bowl shouldn't wipe away what he's done the last couple of years at Clemson, but then again, he's not been that great. I think he's been a good QB and has played very well at times, and at other times not so well. He has talent and some potential, although it's probably only as a backup.
