I have a deep respect for the positive long time posters. This place has driven me nuts this year, and it's my first year. Congrats to the "old timers" of the board, you've earned it.
I'm an optimist...I'm excited...but its really impossible to EXPECT the Jets to win this game...not saying they won't bc I actually have a strong belief they will...but I mean the Colts are so friggin good and it wouldn't be surprising at all if they can't pull it off.
An omen this morning. For the past six months I've had a yankee related password to log in at work. Championship . Today prior to logging on, I got a message to change my password. Changed it a Gang Green Jets related password. Champagne on the 7th.
there are so many people who are posting in this thread with old join dates but who I have never seen post until this post season
My favorite saying is "expect it most when you expect it least". This season symbolizes this I didn't expect to get this far and I couldn't be happier
Guys, I don't post a whole lot on the site, but have been a member since 2004. I visit the site usually several times daily and have really enjoyed your posts, very entertaining and informative. Just wanted to say thanks, guys like you make the site what it is. The best place for Jet fans.
I like Champ but I couldn't care less about his sigs or his attitude about winning. I just want to see a damn Super Bowl in my lifetime. I can remember games as far back as 1981, it's been more than long enough.
it's been a long time since we'v experienced the excitement in getting ready for the AFC championship..........this is an awesome time..........gonna be a long week.......and a stressful decision as to how, where to watch the game on Sunday!
Winning the Super Bowl would be an ultimate birthday present, as the site is going to turn 10 years old later this year. I'm cautiously optimistic about this run. I truly believed the Jets were going to win it all in 1998, but we all know what happened back then. So, now I am taking it one game at a time. P.S. I am pretty sure the site will be able to handle the load on Sunday. The server easily handled 1000+ when we beat the Chargers, and I can always turn off the guest access, which is what I used to do with the old server to lower the load
Been around these parts for quite a bit. Sometimes I am MIA for a while, but I always come back. Originally some of the negativity drove me away, but when you want to share the joy of being a Jets fan at a time like this, there is no better place. I am happy for all Jets fans who have waited for a run like this, to be supremely relevant, and actually feel like we have a real shot to take it all the way. Enjoy it gents and gals - as we all know these moments are few and far between. Cheers!
Couldn't have said it better myself! The negativity prevalent lately is what keeps me at bay...I do come and read almost daily, just find it more hassle than help to post. BUT...a run like this warrants a few threads!!! Peace!!! The Mezz
I had some difficulties about an hour after the Chargers game. Maybe my end, but the rest of the internet seemed OK...
Been through the Herm hire, the two debacles in Oakland, the @#*@&#*(&@# in Pittsburgh, and the Mangini/Favre mess. This will by far be the most memorable weekend on this site.
I think the term cautiously optimistic comes to mind when I think of Sunday's game. I mean... we STILL have to play the BEST QB in the NFL!! :breakdance:
