I only really wanted a receiver if a guy like Cooper was sitting there at 6. Not to say the Jets couldnt use another receiver but it's not a massive need right now. I'd still like the team to address the O-Line or QB position first if it makes sense.

If a guy like Gregory is still there when the Jets are up though, I think he's hard to pass on.

We should take dorial green-beckham. he has potential to be the best WR in the draft. great value and a gamebreaker.

No, he isn't. He has mental issues and illegal substance issues, and is about 30-40 pounds too light. He would be another Aaron Maybin if he could even stay eligible and on the field. I know you love your boom or bust picks, but no sane GM does, especially not in the 2nd round. We can't afford a colossal bust or distraction with Gregory. Taking him would be the single stupidest thing Mac could possibly do.

I have to say, if we don't go offense. We might as well take three downs and punt.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind could even consider Gregory in the 2nd.

    Agreed.

The only OLB I'd be okay with is Eli Harold. Seems like Gregory has weight and depression issues.

But, I hope we go WR or RB in round 2. Heck, even o-line.

    Don't agree here NC.

I truly believe his mental issues are overblown. The weed is an issue that hopefully can be treated.

From a pure talent standpoind he and DGB are potential studs.

Yeah with the way Gregory is said to have other undisclosed conditions, I am too scared to get him early round #2. Give me the potsmoker DGB, at least I know what I am dealing with.

I say if we don't go offense then why the fuck did we get rid of the best DC in the league when we let Rex go? We fucked up by not getting White or Gurley. Now we have to take a Offensive player or it is just another year of the same old jets syndrome.

This video is awesome. Skip to 8:45 and watch the play. Dude absolutely MAULS the Giants' first round pick. I think he can be an absolute game wrecker, he'll be facing one on ones every snap thanks to Williams and Sons.

I think DGB could play a similar role to Martavis Bryant of the Steelers the least hell be able to do early on is catch deep balls over the top. They're both raw players but DGB is 3 times the prospect.

DGB also has domestic violence allegations so that one's the part that bothers me. I'd still roll the dice on him, though I'd rather gamble on Gregory.

The guy looks like one big hit from a guy like Laron Landry would break him apart. Pass.

Would like to see Jalen Strong, wouldn't hate Gregory or DGB. Would prefer to leave RB until 3rd or 4th round.

Totally agree. Running backs are a dime a dozen.

It means a little extra to me since he did it to the Giants 9th overall selection ;)

I want the best impact player available with our 2nd pick (forget kicker ;)). If it turns out to be a OLB, then so be it. I would be just as happy if we an OL if he is the best available. OL needs upgrade and protect Geno and get the running game going...WR is even worth a gamble since our 3 WRs are solid, not explosive play making guys. Whatever Mac believes will give us more of an impact, I'll be fine.

Honestly the Jets see the defense as their bread winners. The Jets have a very good defense, it's not an all time greatest ever defense. There is still room for improvement. If the Jets added an effective pass rusher, it elevates the unit that much more.
