Is it speculation that Fabini and MAWAE were the ones who bad talked Penny? or is it your intuition or an estimated guess?

so i guess my question is what made you THINK that? was anything said attributing it to them ? were there any press reports naming them?

I've always admired Mawae's play on the field, but questioned his comments off the field. Sure, I like an outspoken guy, but in the right spot. This is not the spot for a guy like Mawae right now.

    Good luck!

Nothing was said attributing it to them obviously or it would have been all over the sporting world.

I'm just saying those are the two guys that popped into my head (Mawae first) when I read that story. It just makes sense to me.

You have to be careful of what you post here. Its best just to read sometimes. Some of the folks here are like the Insurgents in Iraq. They are ruthless and spare no one.

It happens with years of practice, there is always an inside perspective if you stop, think and post...

And a good dose of Rush (ala Neil Peart) philosophy helps...

Folks have got to make choices
And choices got to have voices
    Folks are basically decent
    Conventional wisdom would say
Well we read about the exceptions
    In the papers every day

It ought to be second nature....

Its not worth posting a response to some of the comments here. There seem to be way too many homers here.People act like everything the jet front office do is right. They cannot be criticized or questioned about decisions they make.We are supposed to swallow whatever they give us.Everything they say is golden. When they trade a pro bowler for the 29 th pick, its the best decision ever, when they let a "35 yr old probowler/clubhouse lawyer" walk in favor of a practice squad player oozing potential we are supposed to applaud. When we are unable to sign any decent free agents, its ok because we are made to believe that we are building through the draft so all our draft picks will turn out to be excellent picks. You can continue to "baby" our front office and agree with whatever decisions they make.Just understand that because we all do not see eye to eye on these issues does not make me your enemy or warrant childish pranks. Specifically you EVILCLOWNFACE.

Speculation is fine, but never speculate about something like accusing a player of criticisng another and then qualify it by saying I THINK. Thats just cheap. You either know or you do not know, you think saying I THINK makes it not libelous? Yes we all read the report where a report mentioned those two as "possible " sources for trashing Penny, so its not NEWS. You can kiss Katniks ass all you want I AM NOT SOLD AND I WILL NOT BE SOLD UNTIL HE SHOWS ME ON THE FIELD.Now if you do not like that I don't have faith in a practice squad player who didnt dress last season, then GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC!!!!!!!!!

When Mawae was 33, or 34 and he was wielding that club and bowling Jason Ferguson and other defenders over I never heard anyone complain of a clubhouse lawyer or an old man, I guess he just turned 35 years old in one day. Its not mandatory for a player to restructure to bail out his team, its OPTIONAL so whether or not he does that shouldnt be why we let him go.We let Mawae go because he is too expensive but try to sign Runyan and pay him more money? Runyan is 33 and what you think he doesnt talk? If we let Mawae go because we want to go with youth say so, but don't let the guy go and then try to sign players around his age or two years younger, that is not a youth movement, Brad Hopkins , is not 21 and neither are Runyan and Ashworth, who signed elsewhere anyway.

OK now that i have said what i want to say I can quietly retire from posting and just read and laugh at some of the comments.Of course there are some posters whose posts are worth reading and actually contain intelligent analysis and thought provoking arguements.
