You are right, its not over, 8 more games to go. 8 more ways to blow a game you shoulda won. Its the should have, could have didn't syndrome. Its back
Yeah don't talk too much about your living, breathing, walking rabbits foot. I wouldn't either.:finssuck:
He was really airing it out yesterday. Some of those over throws were some of the prettiest I have seen.
if you knew what the jets were going into the season why would one 3 game stretch have swayed your opinion one way or the other? was it really expected that sanchez would play great all year? a team led by two rookies is going to inconsistent and that is exactly what the jets have been this year.
i think we are far from out of it because the pats havent proven anything. They crushed the titans who get worse every week and they beat tampa bay who is probably the worst team in football. They barely beat buffalo and we beat them. I can see them losing to miami in miami and they still have the saints and indi to play too. Do you guys really think the pats are that good, is it 2007
No it's not- I can easily see us going 6-2 over our next 8. We just have to play a complete game, week after week. They did it at the start and I believe Rex will have them finely tuned coming off the bye. If we beat the Pats and the Bills our division record will be fine. The Falcons do not match up well against us, and I mean that in our favor. The Bengals should be a good game. The Colts are the Colts, so we'll see, Far from over though, and for all those that do think it's over why bother posting? Thank god depression is not contagious.
In hindsight, the hope we all had in the first three games seems misplaced. NE win - first game back for Brady. He was rusty. Since then he may not be the 07 Brady, but he's not the first game of this season Brady, either. Houston - a legit win against a good team. Not a great team. A good team. Tenn. - awful team that has fallen quite far from last year. And of course the Jets won by only one score while Collins had an absolutely horrific day. The thing that I have to disagree with those who say "yeah but the team is still in it! 4-4!" is that it ignores how the Jets got here, how that shows the trends. The trend now is losing 4 of 5. It seems like a long time ago that the Jets won three to start the season. Right now, is it possible for the Jets to beat NE in their rematch? Sure, but likely? I don't see how you can say that. Meanwhile as bad as Buffalo is playing, they're another division opponent where the outcome can never be certain. Remember the second Buff game last year? If not for Ellis's play, that was a sure loss. The division record is already at a dismal 1-3. I see 2-4a realistic prediction at this point. So the how they got to where they are is hardly like the team is coming off a number of strong efforts. Talking about the playoffs now is imo pretty silly. The Jets could only lose two more games and still not make it. A collapse is as likely, if not more so, than the playoffs.
That was Tom's second game back, he threw for 378 yards and 2 TD's against the Bills. But you are right, we'll see a much better Tom next time.
second game back for brady not first and we have one of thes best secondaries so i can see us winning the second pats game and i think thats why we will have a chance in the colts game.
If we sweep the Pats we can win the division at 10-6. The problem is, sweep or not, I see the Patriots getting more than 10 wins.
Brain fart on my part. Tampa won Super Bowl XXXVII. And the Patsies won the AFC Championship in '08 by not losing a game. Funny how that works. The only thing that matters is the points on the scoreboard. We're like 2nd in the NFL in defense and we put forth a damn good defensive effort yesterday and till managed to lose. Shame isn't it?
In order to go 6-2 over the next 8 the Jets would have to improve. the Jets will not improve as long as that idiot Schotty keeps forcing the rookie QB to make all the plays. Schotty is simply a stupid OC. He f'd up against Buffalo and for one game against Oak he kept his overinflated ego in check and called a good game. But against the fins in crunch time he was right back to his stupid old tricks of making everything overlycomplicated and thus causing the rookie qb to lose yds and squander opportunities. We have a very good D and we have a talented offense that is repeatedly screwed b/c the person calling the plays is an imbecile.
"Who was your QB before Bledsoe...? Go google it...I'll wait. Front running faggot." Hugh Millen and Scott Zolak split starting duties in '92. Who was the Jets' QB before Testaverde?
Jets need to go at least 6-2 to make the playoffs. With the schedule that they have going forward and they way they're playing, they'll be lucky to go 4-4.
