I would have preferred Croyle as well, but by taking Croyle, you're taking a guy like Michael Vick, meaning you always need to invest in a very good backup.

Oregons offense threw very few deep balls this year, but when they did they had decent success. Clemens does have touch problems on his deep ball, but so do Leinart and Young at times, couldn't tell you about Cutler because I've never seen him play. But Oregons spread option offense had Clemens throwing short to immediate routes almost exclusively and Oregon did have some of the most athletic recievers in the country.

Could you give me an argument that those Drew Olsen and Jason White weren't smart quarterbacks that made good decisions? Thats more the point of Kellens TD/Int ratio then anything to do with physical abilities.

I've seen every game the ducks played and I'm trying to write this from as unbiast a point of view as I can.

"I'd like to know how you are going to get ahold of the game film where Clemens made incompletions because he couldn't fit the ball in on a slant because the cornerback broke on a poorly thrown ball."

I'd love for you to find me a quarterback that goes an entire game without a broken up pass. Kellen might not have amazing zip on every throw but he can make every NFL throw, and I'm positive no team would draft him in the second round if he couldn't.

If there was one guy available that showed he could put the football between safeties and corners it was Jay Cutler. The video they showed on him made him look even better than I thought he was. Every pass was threading the needle, especially the first throw shown of the sideline route between a safety and corner that was right on the money.

I totally agree w/ J_Vilma though. You can't judge a player on one throw. Anyone remember Chad's first deep ball last year to Coles? I remember laughing out out because it was such a great example of a "rain ball".

If arm strenght is all it is about why isn't Brownie Nagle in the Hall Of Fame. Remember the knock on Joe Montana was arm strength. Brady same thing. Arm strenght is part of the puzzle not the whole puzzle. Saying that the consensus of the post draft ratings is he is a fine choice with at least an adequate arm and some saying a very strong arm second only to Cutler. Why don't we relax.

I never once said that his arm strength or his combine results would lead to him being a good QB.
