You're only partially right. Studies showed that middle aged women were the overall worst tippers and that black people were the worst tippers when tipping other black people.

 

I go by the drink rule. If my glass runs dry so does the tip. If I don't have to wait for a drink, I tip between 20%- 30%.

If he didn't like the service, what should he have done? If he complained to the manager, wouldn't that have resulted in a poorer outcome for the server?
Based on what I've read, the server always comes out on top in these things, like here, if the story about Charlie Sheen giving him a grand is true.

 

It would have to be terrible bad service for me to not leave a tip. It has to be deplorable & obnoxious to leave 2¢... I can count on one hand the times this has happened to me.

 

What kind of restaurants? $60 could not be as much as we think? Place near me called The Counter you're spending $25 minimum per person for a burger and fries. But yeah must've been really bad service

WTF IS THAT. Thats where you get a manager involved and see what the fuck is up. I am a server if you have the audacity to put this on paper then explain to my face before you leave prick. And yes people don't tip color gender ...etc you just give good service and hope for the best its a marathon in this business not a race. No problem with this at all. McCoy said he tips very well at other restaurants so obviously if he was lying something would have already come up elsewhere. Clearly he had a beef with the waiter and he obviously didn't care about the criticism if he left his information on the table. Whoever said this is a race thing though might be on a stretch haha
