I think Jimbo still signs here next year. I can't see other teams wanting him as much as we do and after 2 season ending injuries I do not think he will cost much.

Yeh because my whole ankle/lower leg was mangled in a car accident (16 screws 2 12inch plates and 5 surgeries) so that means my knee is always going to be injury prone? I know the new mods are super sensitive so at the risk of getting a time out I'm not even going to address your level of ignorance. I bet you never had to fight through an injury in your life. Adversity makes us stronger, oh and btw I just did my second iron man last weekend and let me tell you my knee was fine! Half wit

He already corrected himself on this. Perhaps is you read the entire thread before spouting this crap you wouldn't look like such an ass.

How about you shut your mouth you loser. I don't give a crap what he corrected his opinion was his opinion but because he said he was sorry it's ok? Give me a break! Seriously if I didn't love this board so much I would rip u apart.

Everyone is a doctor right!? My coaches should have just cut my scholarship because I would never have been able to wrestle again right!?!?!? Oh yeah that's right I'm doing my thing because with HARD WORK and DEDICATION you can achieve Anything. Take notes little one

Btw: try spell check before you make yourself look like an a$$ with your pitiful grammar.

Completely unnecessary attack. Take a week off to cool down.

    this.

my first thought was that he was definitely done as a jet, but consider:

    1. leonhard recovered from his tibia break like a boss, fast and with no apparent complications. he's still young, he will rehab with 110% effort, and he was never a blazer anyway.

    2. he's the quintessential system player, i.e. much more valuable to the jets than any other team. plus he loves the game and won't want to retire or leave = cheap.

    3. we can't really afford to lose this guy next year. we were in desperate need of an upgrade at safety anyway, even WITH leonhard. so we bring in the new guy, and the worst case scenario -- if jimmy doesn't regain his form -- is he tutors the new guy for a relatively cheap price.

    i also think leonhard returns.

The Jets made it to the AFCCG.

He still hasn't had the MRI so the extent of the injury is not known. Pool and Smith will have to step it up along with the rest of the D.

If the offense can put some points on the board each game the D can hold up it's end.

I read that earlier and wasn't sure if it was sarcasm.

He is a key player, not only for the defense but a team as a whole. Leadership and experience cannot be replaced over night. Its too bad we have to lose him before an Eagles team who can throw it deep at any moment and a Giants team whose QB is on fire.

Eric Smith makes a lot of bone headed plays so this will not be good at all.

    This.

They beat Manning and Brady without Leohnard, and should have beaten the rapist. This is a blow, but it just means other guys have to step up, like Maybin did after Thomas got hurt earlier in the year.

The Jets can still beat the Texans without Jimmy. And well, Jimmy was not stopping Gronk anyway.

As for QB of the defense. Someone did it with him injured last year (my guess is Eric Smith, since the coaches always talk about how smart he is), and chances are that player is still on the team and can do it again.

On one hand, the Jets already know the drill from last year. And presumably know what they need to do now.

On the other hand, it is beyond question this upsets the plan to have Leonhard return all punts, so Kerley needs to suck it up, and didn't Wilson return a punt toward the end of the game? And... I think Pool has been having a sketchy season, and most of the load of Leonhard being out falls on him. And who backs up Smith and Pool now? Add safety to running back, OL and right DE as very thin areas for the Jets right now.

I know im gonba get killed for this but does darren sharper still want to play/ in shape? Im not saying i want him to start because i know he still wouldneed to learn the defense but i think he wouldbe the best depth we could possibly add.

This would be intriguing. I believe he is 36 now. Perhaps he could be brought in as a situational safety?

DID ANYONE take Leonards roster spot yet ? anyone brought up off the practice squad ?
ps I think Sharper has medical issues--I could be wrong but is he coming off surgery ?

Brodney Pool time. He made some big plays in the playoffs last year.

We should trade to get Lowery back for depth.
