The game had not even started. How do you deserve to be booed before the game even starts?

When you have a young player that EVERYONE knows plays on emotion, and you are in the middle of a playoff push, why would anyone think it was justifiable to boo your starting QB before the coin toss?

    Bush league at best.

Mark isn't going to be run out of town from fans voicing their displeasure.

Mark will be run out of town for poor performance and not getting it done.

Let's hope Sanchez has the mental toughness to overcome everything and become a premier NFL QB.

So you think from a mental aspect an athlete performs at the same level wether he is cheered on by 50k fans or wether he is booed by them? We're talking about "his" home fans.
I'm not saying this affects ALL athletes but some do... many I'd say. Especially young guys with the weight of the franchise on their shoulder... like... mmm, like who?

Many fans think that just because an athlete earns millions of dollars he doesn't care wether people are supportive of him or not. But that's bullshit. I'm not saying Sanchez will commit suicide for this but certainly it's not an advantage.
Oh and BTW we're 6-5 and have been to 2 AFC championships so to all the booing fans I hope tomorrow they become Jills fans.

Fans have long memories Fen. The booing was for Sanchez's stellar performance in the the Denver game. That Sanchez didn't dissapoint his critics by throwing his obligatory bonehead pick and then got bailed out by his Wr's on two marginally bad throws and saved the game just cemented the creeping doubt fans have of this quarterback.

That's your opinion, some Jet fans booed, not all, and it's their right.

    Changed the game?

Trotting out a mediocre offense and defense (at least compared to the last two years) each week this year is changing the game?

This Jets team is very fortunate to be in the playoff race. They could easily be 4-7 right now.

That said, I think they still can make some noise if they get into the tournament.

They better play stellar D this week, because the Skins play tough D at home themselves.

Nobody said they all booed. I'm saying the ones that did boo knew he's an emotional kid. Kid. That's my point.

If idiotic "fans" break this kid's spirit, we'll be waiting another decade for a chance at a ring.

do you remember the AFC east before Rex and Mark showed up? it was basically the patriots playpen.

Now who's repping the AFC east in the AFC Championship game?

    Game changed.

Even I interpreted what the guy was saying. "Changed the game" as in gamechangers for Jets football. And they have been in a period of time that nobody could have predicted.

Instead of listening to and believing Ryan's bullshit every year, Jet fans could be better off not expecting anything at all and being grateful for whatever they get. That way, Sanchez can continue being streaky well into his second contract and nobody would be dissapointed. We can all have a good laugh every preseason when Ryan does his best Patrick Ewing imitation too although in that case, just like predicting the end of the world, all you have to be is right once..

No one is arguing it's their right... we're saying they were morons to excercise that right.

Take Holmes and his criticism of the OL. It's his right to criticise them for under-performing... but was it smart? Agree to disagree.

The Patriots are STILL the leaders of the AFCE. That hasn't changed. We beat them ONCE in their house. So far this year, they've not only beat us, but they kicked our ass in front of the entire football watching world TWICE. Going back to alot of those regular season games, "the game" hasn't changed at all. Least of all because Ryan shoots his mouth off and we never know which Sanchez shows up game to game. We still haven't won shit and it doesn't look that way this year either. Nothing has changed except the expectations of the fanbase. hence the booing.

Ryan's "bullshit" only turned into back to back playoff runs that nobody expected.

Sanchez is performing in exactly the opposite matter then you would expect. When nothing is on the line he is streaky, when everything is on the line he is money. That's pretty amazing for a kid his age. And let me tell you something you already know, it's a shit ton harder to teach someone clutch.

How many playoff wins for the Patriots in the last 2 years? How many for the Jets? Is it's Ryan mouth that's increasing expectations, or the performance of the team in the postseason the past 2 years?

    C'mon man.

Didn't take long to revert back did it? The Jets are still the overhyped, overrated, oversold bunch they were when Ryan first showed up. The Carnival Barker certainly did change one thing. The Jets don't really have to win the big games, just talk alot of shit and then make excuses for why they lost.

If the game had changed at all, perhaps we wouldn't be getting our assed KICKED on National TV twice by the Patriots. If the game had changed, this team would reflect that change by actually coming out and dominating instead of its weekly death struggle against almost any opponent.

So far, the only thing around the Jets that's changed is the noise level. At the end of the day, its still 42 years and counting.

If Sanchez wasn't so "streaky" the Jets fate wouldn't have to rest on him coming up big at the end. And he doesn't always come up big when it's on the line.
