This is probably a fair point to some decree- I always smile when I see the sign up in Modells- "win and we love you".
But seriously the guy's confidence is fragile and can you imagine the pressure he was under during that last drive.
This kid has a shot at being special with the right supporting cast, lets encourage him.

Wow, they really booed Sanchez during pre-game intros?

    Pathetic.

Booing before the game started is just plain moronic. Now, if you want to boo after he threw that INT into quadruple coverage to Florence than shout your lungs out and have at it because those are the kinds of mistakes he shouldn't be making at this point in his development.

Leonard said so on his interview with Beningo and Roberts. Joe and Evan basically confirmed that yes, they did boo Sanchez' intro.

Disgusting. Although I remember the same type of morons booed Beltran incessantly when he first got to the Mets just because he didn't hit 20 HR's in his first 20 games.

Homefield advantage is not lost when fans boo someone during introductions.

Was the crowd loud when the other team was on 3rd down? Was the crowd loud then the other team had their play clock running down & trying to audible? Was the crowd loud whenever the defense needed a big stop? Did the volume lower when Jets were on offense?

This is where the home crowd helps most. Not the pre-game.

Is anyone really that surprised?? this is the same crowd that cheered Chad Pennington when he got injured...... We made the playoffs last year because of Mark...he always steps up in the 4th quarter and is capable of leading out team from behind...even with a schitty offense....But Jets fans wont be happy unless he plays like Aaron Rodgers in his 3rd year...

I'm starting to peg you at a very young age. You will understand through life experience that positive support is a sure boost to confidence.

I was watching the game at a bar, so didn't see the pre-game introductions, but this is dispicable if true.

According to Leohnard it gets into the players heads from the get go. If it didn't he probably would not have mentioned it. Why try to demoralize your own fucking team before kickoff? WTF is wrong w/ people like you? Go root for someone else.

yes he was boo'd during intros. i heard it upstairs. i though didnt boo him until our 3rd straight 3 and out in the 1st qtr.it was intended for the whole offense.

as i recall jeter was boo'd when in an 0-40 slump
rivera boo'd for blowing 2 saves to begin the year.
mets players boo'd for being alive.

i just shrug it off and know people just expect more

Don't kid yourself, our crowd is lifeless unless we're winning with a ton of momentum.

    Sad.

If anyone should be booed, it should be Schotty so that the front office actually takes a hint that EVERYONE wants him gone.

Like really??? Booing our 3rd year QB before a huge divisional game? "C'mon man!"

You get 60 million dollars, you better expect you are going to hear it when you don't perform. If if bugs you, don't take the money and do something else. I don't necessarily agree with booing pre-game, but I understand it - the fans are saying "for the money you are making, and the money we paid to be here, you have got to perform better". I can't argue with that. And Leohnard should worry about fucking tackling somebody instead of what the fans are doing.
