I think the Jets look like they are eying Aundrae Allison to take away some of the KRs from Leon. Rex doesn't stop talking about this kid's speed in pressers. He didn't look half bad in KRs last night, but he is no Leon. Not yet anyway.

Except for the one he fumbled forward about ten yards. Westhoff has a good scheme, Justin Miller was successful on kickoffs before Leon, I'm sure Allison can be too. Leon is one of a kind though, the way he can run and avoid tackles, you see it any time he gets the ball. That's the difference between taking it to the 40 and taking it to the house. But if we can get Leon more in the offense (and pay him!) it couldn't hurt to have another burner who can return kickoffs.

Every return man we put back there has had success whether it's Craig Yeast, Chad Morton, Michael Bates, Jonathan Carter,Miller, leon,.... but Leon is the best of the bunch.

You can see Leon's ability even on those 9 or 10 yard runs or screens, the way he makes guys miss. Get him on a kick return in the open field with a head of steam and a good blocking scheme and it's really a weapon every time. He is a special runner, and I base that more on what he does on routine offensive plays than on returns.

Chad Morton looked like a HOF return man for 1 season with Mike Westhoff's schemes. I'm not taking anything away from Leon, but KRs can be replaced, factor runningbacks are hard to come by.

He looked fine but that one play where he fair catched had me puzzled because there was no defender near him for about 3-4 seconds.
