Twice, during a week when Shitkeels announced that he and Leon were testing the market, Rex mentioned how bad the injury was. Even after Keels said that Leon was 'close to 100%' multiple times. If the Jets are looking to trade the guy, what Rex has been saying hurts their cause.

Agreed. I think the quote with him saying he wouldn't give him 20 carries behind LT and Greene isn't terrible at all since, even if he was 100% healthy, he wouldn't touch the ball anywhere close to that many times behind them. But with the comments about his health wasn't a good at all. His value was low enough coming off that horrific injury. Hopefully when he is able to run in a couple of weeks he can boost his value some and salvage what is left.

I'm not really making any sort of prediction on whether he gets resigned. What you say makes sense. You'd think Rex would say good things about him if he were looking to ship him out so his perceived value would be higher.

I guess I'm saying we'll be fine either way. I'd be happy if he's here this year. I wouldn't cry if he left though.

The fan in me would be angry that he wouldn't be able to see Leon break another amazing run in a Jets uniform. But if they traded him away, it wouldn't be the first time that I had to say goodbye to a Jet that I liked. It is a business most of all.

We'll certainly be fine, either way, I agree.
