If the Jaguars conned a 5th out of the Raiders for Quentin Groves... Since Davis likes straight line speed so much, and Leon can only run in a straight line, Tannenbaum might be able to pull off a 3rd rounder for him. /recycled joke.
Tanny would have to hire the secret service/buy a pope-mobile if that happened. Alvin-Keels would try to stab Tanny.
If that could happen without Tannenbaum pulling a gun on someone then that would be amazing. Also, holy shit did I ever overestimate Leon's value...and Clemens'
You can, but I don't know that anyone would. With Wilson here, we could cover the ST gap if Leon left. Still, I don't think anyone gives us a good pick for him, and I wouldn't trade him for a bad one. Of course, I was dead wrong about the team not cutting Faneca right now, so who knows what happens?
A 4th round pick is still a good pick in this draft, especially considering who is still on the board.
Given who has been falling. We could wind up getting a good player in the 5th round. Maybe even one to replace Leon as a returner/slot option. Like Jacoby Ford. Then again, if the Jets have a chance to get Cam Thomas and Griffen/Sapp/Norwood in the 4th I really hope they take it.
I'd want a RB if we were drafting a true replacement player. For a 5th, I'd probably prefer to go with Leon. Again, however, it depends in part on the board.
Ford's nothing more than a 4th or 5th receiver at this point. The guy's a terrible route runner and he has mediocre hands. He's the perfect example of a track star that plays football. I think he's got a shot to be a heck of a return specialist...I just don't think he'll ever be an option in the slot. Freddie Barnes and Mardy Gilyard are better options.
Nobody is going to trade for Washington...nobody. Not with the fact that he is still on the mend and there is no way of even knowing if he will ever play again. Much less at what level.
I've got a feeling Washington is going to be pretty much useless for us most of the year due to the previous injury. Thankfully we have the added bonus of Kyle Wilson returning punts.
