Trevor Lawrence (6'6/220 lbs). • Record of 34-1 (97.1%). • 2 National Championship Games. • 635/952 (66.7%). • 8,489 passing yards. • 8.9 yards per pass attempt. • 81 TD Passes. • 13 INT's. • 6.2 TD-to-INT Ratio. • 1 INT per every 73.2 passing attempts. • 5 Fumbles (4 lost). • 17 turnovers combined. • 188 Rushing Attempts. • 794 Rushing Yards. • 4.2 yards per rushing attempt. • 14 Rushing TD's. • 1 turnover per every 67.0 touches. • QB RATING OF 167.0 Sam Darnold (6'4/220 lbs). • Record of 21-6 (77.7%). • 0 National Championship Games. • 549/846 (64.9%). • 7,229 passing yards. • 8.5 yards per pass attempt. • 57 TD Passes. • 22 INT's. • 2.5 TD-to-INT Ratio. • 1 INT per every 38.4 passing attempts. • 20 Fumbles (14 lost). • 36 Turnovers combined. • 137 Rushing Attempts. • 332 Rushing Yards. • 2.4 yards per rush attempt. • 7 Rushing TD's. • 1 turnover per every 27.3 touches. • QB RATING OF 153.7. All completely state otherwise. And here in 2020? Trevor's QB Rating of 192.7 is currently 10th highest All-Time (and climbing) meanwhile Sam Darnold's QB Rating of 148.7 during his final year @ USC of 2017 doesn't even COME CLOSE to cracking the Top 100 All-Time (also says otherwise).
I think it may be better to compare TL to maholmes, Jackson, and whomever else recently graduated and see if those numbers really translate much. A FQB needs to have some intangibles and deal with some adversity.
I've already done that and Trevor's numbers, against much more difficult defenses/conference blow Mahomes NCAA numbers out of the waters
Lawrence is the better prospect. He has the most natural command of a pro style colege offense since Peyton Manning. Oh by the way he’s bigger, much more athletic & has a stronger arm than Peyton ever did. Quite honestly Luck never impressed as much as this kid does. Unreal football instincts. His personality is Joe Montana-esque. Trevor Cool. Could see that working real well in NY.Turning this thing around.
