    1) dont think that will happen at all

    2) If he really wants Fields, you call his bluff and make him select him by saying "if Fields is available, we're drafting him"

Ya your probably right I just am reserving any type of hope the Jags fall in love with Fields but it’s very unlikely as Lawrence is the clearly the best prospect in a long time at the QB position

We'll see after Monday night. If he lights it up against Bama, there's going to be a question about who goes first.

The weird thing is, there's almost not a single mock draft that has the Jets taking Fields in any scenario. Most of the analysts seem convinced that the season was about Lawrence or bust, and now they're just going to stick with Sam and draft Sewell. All of the mocks that have us drafting a QB have us going with Zach Wilson. That worries me.

The mocks are still premature. A lot will Hinge on the game vs Bama because Fields struggled vs good defensive teams twice this year. If he shows that those games were flukes vs Bama then he will cement the 2nd overall pick whether it’s with the Jets or a trade back.

I just can’t see how the Jets trot out Darnold next year. He’s terrible and only regressed every year. Wilson also worries me because the level of competition and teammates were just as good as division 2. Believe me I watched a few BYU games and it was ugly most of the time. If Wilson could sit behind a vet for a few years like Rodgers and brought up to speed he could turn out to be a good one because he does have a live arm. Unfortunately the Jets don’t have that luxury and we need a pro ready QB to lead this team.

Are we going to have a thread on tonight's game ?

Weird thing is, JoeD's words 2 weeks ago imply that the game tonight doesn't mean much for the Jets draft order.
