You're delusional, and I can't wait to laugh at you once this is all over. And I'll do it on your Falcons board, too.
Then he doesn't get paid. He has 8 million reasons to play for the JETS. Not only does holding out cost him half a million a game, it'll hurt his next FA contract as well. :breakdance: I'm glad their sticking to their guns because a player of his caliber is worth it.
So you think you will get Abe for your 2nd and thats it? It would have already happened if that was the case.
Sorry man...you guys are way off base...what Atlanta pays Abraham is not our concern..you're not dealing with Bradway anymore
That argument has been made by other Falcon fans, and is was just as illogical and nonsensical then. What you pay Abraham does not mean anything to the Jets. If you decide to overpay for the player, why should that affect the Jets? You want the Jets FO to bend over for you and take one for the team because your FO decided to shell out a huge contract? And if his injuries are that much of a concern, why the hell did you give him that much money? Maybe that is why the Jets didn't give him that high priced contract. In fact the Falcons did themselves a disservice by trying to circumvent the Jets and offering a contract first. There is a reason teams agree to trade terms before contract terms. The Falcons showed what Abaraham is worth to them. The Jets now see that ATL sees Abe as a top 5 DE, which is 1st round value. So the Jets want that same value. If ATL sees him as first talent, why would the Jets now settle for the second or third? They tried to screw the Jets, but in the process they tipped their hand. This was bad negotiating and the Jets are going to use it to their advantage just like any team would. If ATL had just waited, they might have been able to get the Jets to agree to less.
The falcons are trying to steal abe from the jets. If they want him so bad give the jets fair value and get the deal done. He is worth more then what seattle is offering but we have to deal with what is on the table. If we cant get value then pay him and let him sit. Let him see how much of contract he gets after siting a year out. Abe is a freakin cry baby
