I would cut Kerley the punt returner but not Kerley our 3rd best receiver

With Owusu gone we need Devin Smith to start doing something. I didn't like the pick at 37--I recall one Ohio State fan thinking this was a great pick and giving shit to everyone who didn't like it.

It's a good pick. The guy is a rookie and was injured for most of camp - that's a pretty tough adjustment. Owusu has been injured and hasn't done much either. I think we are fine with our top 3 guys. Bigger issues now are at center and safety

Devin is a deep threat, of course his transition is going to take longer. And of course with Fitz throwing the ball he's not gonna shine right away. We'll have to wait until next year at least (Petty would be amazing in combination with Devin) for him to really start making an impact.

His rookie year couldn't have been any worse. Landing on a team that has two stud receivers, a QB with a weak arm, a run first offense, Chan preferring bigger wideouts for blocking purposes, Devin missing the preseason with a rib injury. It can't really get any worse for him. Just a matter of time until he gets out of this hole...I hope.

I seem to remember him starting this whole downward spiral when he skipped out on minicamp to watch the birth of his kid--and he wasn't born until after minicamp if memory serves. He fell behind then and is still behind.

Maybe with Geno playing, Devin will start making an impact on long passes. I preferred Lockett (the WR that Seattle took) because of his STs abilities, but I don't think Smith was a bad pick at all. I just didn't know much about him since I hate OSU and never watch them unless they're playing a team I like in a bowl game. I saw Lockett play a number of times and really liked him. Unless he has chronic injury issues, I think Smith will develop into a very good WR. I don't think you can be as good as he is at tracking deep balls and not have the ability to succeed at running the other routes.

Aldrick is a good deep threat from what I remember when he was with the Skins.

I thought Salas was OK as a fill in last year. Would be OK with him back.

Has some breakaway speed too. He messed us up in the preseason too.

He actually made some nice plays against us in the preseason with the Lions. I think he got injured a couple weeks later and then they got rid of him. Agree that he's solid depth. He was always solid from the slot running slants and getting open and getting YAC's.

I like Salas. Not a bad option to have.
