I haven't seen Jones play since I haven't been able to see any of the preseason games, only highlights and read about them here. I remember seeing Jones in college a little however, and he has some potential. I won't pretend to understand how Mays could have been cut before Jones, unless it was just to give him the best chance to hook on with another team. I won't understand if Jones makes the team over Henderson, either, but will give Bowles the benefit of the doubt until it proves to be a crappy decision. I think with the way the team has performed in preseason, the choice he made in Gailey, and with the way he handled all the distractions and issues so far, he has earned and deserves that much.
I doubt the Jets cut Kerley. His contracts sucks but he can still be a positive contributor to the team this season.

I never got why/how Kerley got into this "there's a good chance he might get cut" conversation. He's a rock solid backup receiver and he was just signed to a big contract, he's young. He's not going anywhere.

Honestly I think the contract is why that talk comes up. Idzik gave him that retarded deal midseason and it was baffling. He's a good player, just not as good as the contract he got. But regardless, he'll contribute and cutting him would diminish the roster.
