One dimesional FB leads you right to where the HB is going, I agree in today's game a wasted roster spot
I just found out that Mac signed Josh Johnson and that he's going to play tonight. I think he has a good chance to beat out Flynn and be the backup until (or if) Geno returns. He's not a bad Qb.
Joe Mays & Jamari Lattimore. Same guys as Harris & Davis pretty much. Mays is a good run stuffer and Lattimore is a rangy guy who can cover.
Johnson & Johnson http://turnonthejets.com/2015/09/toj-roundtable-new-york-jets-final-53-edition/#more-28435 Two potential players jump to mind for me: Josh Johnson, beating out Matt Flynn to be the Jets temporary backup quarterback for the first few games and Wesley Johnson sticking as the backup center. Johnson, a fifth round pick of the Steelers last year as a tackle, was pulled off waivers and due to his versatility now looks likely to stick as a backup center and swing reserve tackle. The Jets have had some ugly mid-round picks in recent years but finding potentially competent depth from another team’s draft class last year certainly helps.
Ridley is better than any RB on our roster save Ivory, and he's not that far behind Ivory. It costs the Jets nothing to stash him on the PUP for 6 games. If he's still not healthy at that point or doesn't look good, then they can release him. Conversely, what if one of our RBs is injured at that point, or if he comes off the PUP list and looks awesome in practice? He's much better than Stacy IMO. Stacy is slow. Ridley is faster and a better receiver. Even if Stacy and the other RBs are healthy and playing well, the Jets could have lost a player at another position, and Ridley could possibly help the team more than the street FA or PS player at the position where there was the injured Jet. There's nothing to be gained and potentially everything to be lost from releasing Ridley now. How would you like it if the Jets released him, them Miami, Buffalo or NE claimed him, he got healthy then started tearing up the league? I doubt you'd like it, and would blame the Jets for cutting him loose.
I agree. I don't like Bohannon anyway because he IS one dimensional, and not even that good at his one dimension. I just don't see the need for him, and hope they don't keep him. If they do, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and see how it pans out.
This. Ridley is pretty much the same type of guy as Ivory. Also, his "fumble prone" label is bogus. He has 8 fumbles in 4 years i believe, BB just doesn't tolerate fumbling the ball so he ended up in the doghouse once it did happen. I like Ridley for our team.. we can really ground and pound with him and ivory. Stacey is similar to them also but he's just not on the same level. I guess richardson gets cut for now but i'm not sure what will happen when we have Ivory Ridley Stacy and Powell.. 4 backs is a lot especially with at our pace with these injuries.

I doubt it. After Amaro's injury, we need as many WRs as we can get. Chan also loves 4 WR sets, so Kerley may be very valuable.
