Yep he did: by Dave Hutchinson/The Star-Ledger Friday August 01, 2008, 11:26 AM Despite continued buzz about a possible union between the Jets and Brett Favre, The Star-Ledger stands by its report last week that the Packer legend isn't coming. In light of a report Thursday night that the Packers and Jets were in serious discussions, my people told me again that a deal isn't going to happen. What's happening is the Packers and the Favre Camp are trying to create a market for Favre and are using the Jets in the process New York Jets' new facility may help land Favre by Dave Hutchinson/The Star-Ledger Wednesday August 06, 2008, 6:28 PM Even so, I still feel Favre to the Jets is unlikely. Gang Green is in the mix, according to Favre's agent, James ``Bus'' Cook. I'm still skeptical that Cook is using the Jets as leverage to drum up a market for his client, but all the reports that have Favre zeroing in on the Bucs and Jets can't be wrong.
Yup... that was two years ago and I made trips out to camp in '06, '07 and '08. I figured I've been a Jets fan for so long (and season ticketholder) and never made it to one TC in all those years, so it was time to start going before they packed up and left. Glad I did... really enjoyed it. Glad you found the shirt... I've got one too.
Comparing this to the Colts leaving town is a little over the top and over dramatic. But I do agree with a little send off to say goodbye to Hofstra.
