Good points...still, he could always do more. His job is a results based position. You don't get bonus points for trying, you get it done or you don't get it done. There was a glaring hole that he has not as of yet filled. I don't mind that we didn't draft a RT with a high pick because I'm not sure how good the RTs were in this draft to begin with vs the value of the pick.

On the flip side we have no idea who is available at RT right now...maybe Otah was the only RT up for trade and he went out and got him despite the risks. So I can kind of see both sides.

Maybe he's hoping to sign a camp casualty or make a trade if WFH or someone else doesn't step it up in the first few weeks of the season. I would feel a lot more comfortable going into the regular season with that position shored up but that may not be in the cards, unfortunately.

I'm still waiting to hear about this impending fine. On all angles but one that I have seen, Landry appears to be leading with his shoulder to me, and the shoulder-to-chest contact brings their helmets together, which I would deem as incidental contact. But you could be right as far as 'the way the NFL is doing things' because not all of the fines that have happened seem to have been justified by the word of the rule.
