After a poor second half to the 2011 season, Jones decided to forgo the draft and stay for his senior year to raise his draft stock back up to the level it was at. The plan failed and there were times in 2012 where he was so terrible, he nearly found himself on the bench. That being said however, after four years starting in Norman he leaves as the Big 12's all-time leading passer with 16,646 yards through the air. As a consequence of his questionable decision making and general inaccuracy, Jones is currently projected as a mid-round pick; a good show at the Combine will go some way in helping him move up boards.
