If they get to Tom Brady regularly though imagine the roughing the passer penalties that they'll rack up. This seems like a very poor strategy.
I have thought the exact same thing only problem is the Jets are sorely lacking offensive talent even more than the defensive side and it would piss a lot of fans ( paying customers ) off.... However with some creativity - I know Mac hasn't proven to be exactly lights out - I can see a scenario now that Mitch is the DC where they do follow that plan but also sign a big offensive FA and then hit on those next three draft picks or at least spend them on the O. But deep down probably not......
Roughing penalties can be worth it IF you hit the guy hard. You don't take a roughing penalty for putting your hands on the QB like our dumbass did in Week 17.
What about waiving your hand in front of the QBs face mask. Like the phantom call against the Rams in the SB. Never even touched Brady’s helmet 15 yards and Goff got destroyed clearly going out of bounds no call.
