According to Greg Cosell, Jackson's arm mechanics are NOT sound. His elbow is too low and it puts strain on the scapula, and I would think rotator cuff. At any rate, Cosell said that there's a danger that Jackson could wind up with a sore shoulder. Cosell also said that a QBs throwing motion cannot be changed. If he is correct on both of those points, then Jackson could wind up like Chad with numerous rotator cuff surgeries.

I really wanted Jackson to perform today. Unfortunately, I believe today was a horror show for him.

I bet if he performed the physical tests they may have offset his poor passing (and footwork).

A team who can work on a project will pick him up. I’m thinking he goes round 3 now.

This is an exaggeration. Inconsistent as I thought he would be but still made some good throws. I was surprised at the Mariota comp in terms of his lower body mechanics. I think he still goes in round 1. Top 10? Nah

A horror show was Tanner Lee. Convinced he could throw an int in shorts.

I don't think it's necessarily seen as a negative, but throwing is generally more important in today's game, so teams often prefer the better pocket passer. Jackson isn't a slouch, but he definitely needs work.

Tbh Lee showed better ball control than Jackson.

:) His drop steps were so labored. Poor guy.

So deliberate. Thinking about the feet and not the throw.

Just as a follow up: Jackson was asked if any team had asked him to work out as a WR and he said "no". Also said he wouldn't do it if asked.

He asked if Allen was doing tight end drills. Love that

Disclaimer, I like Jackson but not sure the phrase we are not that stupid should ever be uttered about our beloved gang green

It's amazing how people critique Lamar by doing best and worst throws. I don't see these for other qbs. No one had a perfect day.

Falling in love with the combine is a way to get Hacked. Allen looked good, but 0 anticipation on his throws. And no Lee didn't have a better day throwing the football lol. He was highly inaccurate and has no ceiling.

The only reason to watch the QB combines is to be entertained by the interviews of the players - especially that of Jackson when asked if he'll try out as WR., he handled himself very well, his personality is perfect for the NY media clowns.

Nothing about Jackson’s interviews convinced me he has the mental capacity or leadership to succeed in the NFL as a QB.

I hope he proves me wrong. He’s an exciting player.

We need to stop being seduced by athleticism. I've seen enough of the Vicks and Tarvaris Jacksons and the Terrell Pryors and the Vince Youngs and the Kaepernicks. I need to see somebody who has the wonderlic, who has the ability to read defenses. Not be baited into bad throws. To make adjustments. To be a leader. And to look like he can actually take NFL level hits and get up from them. It's not Lamar Jackson

There's a reason this WR stuff came out. A lot of teams likely consider him a no shot guy at QB and understand where he will be better suited.

We've seen enough Hackenbergs and Kellen Clemens. Amazing how stereotyping works.
