Let's not forget the 3rd round pick from giants will probably be a top 10 pick in the round where as a comp pick would be next year end of round, if we even qualify for a comp pick after signing free agents.
Yeah it’s an absurd comment to HOPE that a 3rd year all pro safety could have The potential to become a player similar to Palomalu. Get out of here clown.
exactly trading adams is insane. If JD is smart he'll extend him to a LTD without using the option year or having to tag him. if there is 1 player worth locking in next offseason it's adams. he has to take the option this offseason just extend adams to add on his deal. his price is only going to get higher every year. right now the top paid safety in the NFL is "only" 12 mil a year with 20 mil guarenteed. give adams a contract that kicks in in 2021 with 13 mil a year and 30 mil guaranteed for 5 years. 65 million over 5 years seems like a great deal to me, makes him the highest paid safety in the NFL with the highest guarantee by quite a bit and locks him for us until the 2026 season and he'll make more then the option year in 2021 and makes it more cap friendly for us in the long run. plus he'll still be young enough to get another big deal at 29 when it expires
Minshew held onto it, and held onto it and held onto it, and rolled out.... and Jamal Adams "forgot" who he was covering. (it was Chark) 'Chark bite' touchdown. stick a fork in the Jets, that one officially ended it. 29-15 Jax.
Perhaps. I'd rather have a premium position; Money Tackle, CB, C, EDGE. SS is nice to have, but one that constantly gets called for PI, doesn't get interceptions, and is pissed off about losing idk, id take what i can get for him.
yup good value for us for sure. and more playing time for q williams, foley, and phillips all 3 have looked good in their limited play time
the Dolphins got a 1st round pick from a non-playoff team for Minkah Fitzpatrick. I think Adams is comparable, if not better than Fitzpatrick. That means getting a comparable deal would be getting a draft pick AT or better than 20th overall. hell yah, I'd take that
is this a troll account? seriously? I've never seen it post here in years and every post is just wrong and awful
They were tagged, yes, my point is they dont have to play under their contract, as structured. A player can create noise to get out.
I want to clarify, since I did bring up the idea of trading Jamal Adams earlier. Its not something I necessarily want to do, I really like him as a player and leader of the Jets. He's an absolute baller. I just have a feeling that if this season heads even further south, he is going to want out. I don't think he will hesitate to force his way out of here, like we've seen other players around the NFL do. If that is the case, I want the Jets to be proactive in moving him. Once he makes it clear he does not want to be here, his value could take a hit. Very similar to the Porzingis situation. Knicks could have gotten a lot from the Celtics for him, they waited a year and potentially got fleeced by Dallas. Having said all that, maybe he's in it for the long haul and really wants to stick it out through this rebuild, I'm happy to have him. But if Dallas calls and offers a 1st and a 2nd, I'd think long and hard about it.
Gee, Wally, look at all these high draft picks! We got them in exchange for talented, but unproductive players we drafted highly in the past! Now we can draft EVEN MORE highly talented but unproductive players! In five or six years, the Jets will have ALL the draft picks! They can't ALL be busts, right Wally???? Summary: This was a good trade for the Jets. They will waste the picks.
I hate lists...but it is what it is... 2016 — D Lee (traded) 2015 — Leo Williams (traded) 2014 — C Pryor (traded) 2013 — Dee Milliner (cut) 2013 — Sheldon Richardson (traded) 2012 — Quinton Coples (cut) 2011 — Mo Wilkerson (cut) 2010 — Kyle Wilson (cut)
