The guy was covering Boldin for most of the game. How many rookie corners will win against all-pro WRs? I was extremely pissed off at our coaching staff that had Revis lineup against a washed up 36years old WR most of the game. Why the hell wasn't Revis covering Boldin. Far too many penalties is what killed us, but if Revis was on Boldin, Cromartie and Kyle Wilson wouldn't have to hold on to their WRs the way they did. Wilson should have covered Housh, Cromartie on Mason and Revis on Boldin. A rusty Revis is still better than Kyle Wilson, the rookie.
No kidding. WTF were they thinking? During the game I was like WTF. After Cromartie struggled against Boldin and then Wilson I couldn't believe Revis was still on Mason. The only thing I can think of is the Ravens intentionally put Boldin in position to do exactly what he did - stay away from Revis. The Jets bragged about not having a game plan for any of their pre-season games. Guess what? It didn't look like they put much planning into their opener either. Not even any half-time adjustments with the exception of a single wildcat play by Brad Smith.
Six of one, half dozen of the other. The Ravens were picking on Cromartie and Wilson, and Eric Smith in 3rd on shorts, to Heap.
he is the furthest thing from us losing the game. i think he did fucking good 1 on 1 to fucking ANQUAN BOLDIN, and TJ. He played fucking well. You dont expect a rook to get a PI here and there? He saved a fucking touchdown btw in the 1st quarter I believe to Todd Heap.
\ Speaking of HEAP. Did we play in Baltimore last night? Couda' sworn that we did, given the raucus "HEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP" chants heard everytime that clown touched the ball. WTF?
All this would not matter if our offense could've punched it in when we recovered the fumble inside the 5
We can blame the CS for the matchups, which I do but lets call a spade a spade here. Wilson was absolutely dreadful and needs to be better, same goes for Cromartie.
I agree. I still think Wilson is going to be OK. There is no way that he should have been exposed the way he was last night. That was an inexcusable blunder by the coaching staff. I thought that the kid played aggressively and got whistled for a couple PI's that were borderline calls. I thought that the one on 3rd and 28 should not have been called.
