I don't. I get the feeling that they drafted him because he fits their scheme and a need. I think they traded right in front of us because they knew we probably had him high on our board, however.

Yea, seems that way, doesn't it? Seems McDaniels in Denver also isn't very good at picking. They both get volume but not much quality.

I'm guessing one of them will get Taylor Mays (bust) and maybe Golden Tate (bust).

More busts on the Pats, the better, I say.

you honestly believe the Fins are making picks to mess with the Jets rather than what they think is going to make their team the best it can be? perhaps the better question is how you could possibly believe something so fucking stupid.

either you believe screwing the Jets is their primary motive or their primary motive is to make the team the best it can be and screwing the Jets is simply a repercussion but not their motive. unfortunately for you, what you said fits into the former.

Great pick, and the right pick. We NEEDED a 3rd CB. Not only because Cromartie cant tackle, and not because he's in a contract year, but because our nickle/dime package was a weakness last season.

I figure Lowery to safety is the plan. If not we had the ammunition to move up to get Thomas. I have wanted lowery back at safety for alllllllllllllllong time.

Well let me put it this way. The Fins knew we wanted and needed Odrick. They saw an opportunity to get a really good pick for where they were in their draft, help their pass rushing in what they lost in Taylor and at the same time prevent seeing Odrick play havoc on them twice a year playing for the Jets. Does that sound better?

Oh and stop being a dick.

What I love about the pick is that we can easily keep all 3 corners (a #29 overall contract isn't that high) for at least 3-4 years

Odrick isn't a rush LB but I see where you're coming from...the fins had a good draft/offseason (sucks to say that)

I wasn't trying to say that's what the Fins were doing. How would I know?

No one had the Fins taking a 5-tech DE in the 1st round (let alone Odrick) and they just happened to pick one right in front of us.

I guess I was just a bit bitter. Kyle Wilson is great consolation though and possibly a better prospect.

And they needed a pass rusher, safety, and nose tackle more than they needed a 5-tech, in my opinion. They got Misi in the 2nd but I don't know about the other two positions. Maybe Parcells is planning on fattening Odrick up so he can play the nose. Who knows?

You could say we needed a few things more than a CB but we took one anyway

I agree, I wanted Odrick. Wilson could prove to be the better player, though.

Randy Starks is playing the NT... Odrick will move around the DL.
