obviously, but what i'm saying if kyle wilson understands the schematic and technique aspect of things. He just started being unsure of himself and you can tell that was a big problem. it was mental , but a self talk thing as opposed to a mental capacity thing. with vlad, it's a mental capacity thing along with technique
can we not turn the Wilson thread into a Ducasse one? This thread is about the progress of Wilson, and shouldnt be sidetracked by the progress (or lack there of) of Ducasse.
Holy shit how did Ducasse get in this thread? Wilson came from Boise State and was 14 games away from being ready. Ducasse came from UMass and every scout in the world said he needed 2 years before he was ready to step up and contribute. Enough with the Ducasse bullshit.
Wilson looks especially good when you consider that he didn't really have an offseason. I think Darrelle Revis might have a future in coaching if he wants it.
Seriously. Ouch. I was just trying to get people talking about how Kyle Wilson encompasses all that is progress again for you, thus fighting terrorism. Wait, are you a terrorist?
Yup, osama's corpse in the flesh. Back to Wilson, his improvement is going to be a big storyline to our season. Come playoff time, I think K-Dub is going to be a big weapon who really puts pressure on opposing qbs leaving only TEs and backs out of the flat as a place to "consistently" earn yardage.
Great point bringing up the time Revis spent with Wilson. Where's Hobbes with some Mevi$ bs? Anyway, we can certainly say it's not like Kyle did nothing in the off season. This is F'ing great. I know it's only one game, but I was one of the skeptics about him. There's not much I'd rather be proven wrong about more than skepticism about developing Jet players.
If it was true then the the Jets FO SHOULDN'T have taken him in the 2nd round. UDFAs and 7th rounders are the guys you take when you think it will take a couple of years before they contribute. In an ideal world teams would like to thing that players taken in the 2nd round would be starters or at least significant contributors in a rotation by their 2nd year. If they aren't then you just have to man up and admit that it just wasn't a very good pick. It happens
His ceiling is high, he's a project, the Jets can afford to have him learn. There is a ducasse thread. This isn't the place for it.
Wilson had another solid game. Not a lot of 3 WR sets to cover, but when he got his chances today he looked good.
