When was Kyle Wilson a top ten player at his position and SB MVP?

I don't know if it's true or not, but I remember some posters posting comments from one of those web sites that rates players at their position and Wilson was supposedly the top-rated slot corner. Wouldn't that make him a top 10? To be honest, I don't believe that he was even in the top 10 slot corners, but neither do I believe was a top 10 player at his position. He had one big game in the SB and one good season in his career.

No, you did BETTER Than that: You took a thread aimed to debating who is the Jets second best QB and turned it into a thread to bash a player.

    What a hypocrite.

Not really, I am not bashing Ken. I just don't overrate him like you. AGAIN, I appreciate what Ken did and what all Jet players have done.

Remember that classic game Wilson had against Denver last year?

One thing Benigno is right about ... Kyle Wilson hasn't made a single impact play in a game since he's been here. Not one.
He's now played in 47 consecutive games without picking off a single throw. And God knows, its not because nobody is throwing at him. A #1 pick going almost 50 games without an INT. It's just mind boggling how little awareness he has for the football.

Remember the Denver Game when a GIMMIE interception hit him in the legs because he had no clue where the ball was?

And I remember when we drafted him there was a tremendous buzz about his punt return abilities at Boise and how he was going to be a return weapon for us.

He fumbled a few times rookie year and has basically not returned punts in the succeeding 4 years.

had a big pass deflection in the 2010 title game, should have picked it off but was a big play.

    Now now....quit bashing the man.

As penance, please start a thread titled Lester Hayes: Greatest CB of all time.

As I said, at least he only cost one draft pick. In my mind, there will never be a bigger draft bust than DeWayne Robertson. What a piece of crap.

Dewayne Robertson was a key to our 2004 run and if a K makes one of 2 makeable kicks he helps us get to a title game.

most people would expect more than a 1/2 of a season of good play from a top 5 draft pick that you mortgaged the future for

he didn't live up to expectations but he was a good player for us for a short time. certain folks are acting like he did nothing for us.

The future was not mortgaged, we gave up a 1st rd pick which sucked but it didn't keep us from winning.

We traded two first round picks AND a fourth round pick to move up and pick Robertson.

we traded 1 1st rd pick for him. we had 2 going in, we turned that into 1 so we got one first rounder instead of 2.

I can't wait until this guy leaves the team. He was essentially a bust of a 1st round pick. What makes me mad was that he had a great coaching staff along with Revis and Cro at one point to guide him. He would never turn his head, which is a very crucial part of not getting flagged for pass interfence. The cherry on top was the taunting when he did anything "good". QB overthrows ball, Wilson does a dance. Wilson bats down one pass after getting torched the last play, Wilson taunts the receiver. F*&^ this guy, if he were on any other team, he would have been cut much sooner.

100% right. And that's all rex, why he wasn't cut much sooner.
