I always thought he was a decent 'cover2' type DB candidate. Don't know NO's defensive scheme, but in a different system he might be a little more effective if coached up in that way. He's not a good press CB and he can't return a punt for shit
NY Post "Kyle Wilson is Rob Ryan's Problem Now" btw lets review that amazing 2010 draft class !! 1) Kyle Wilson, played 80 miserable games for the Jets. Tortured us fans along the way. Struggled with neck mobility. Saints problem now 2) Vlad Ducasse, played 50 miserable games for the Jets. Tortured his own QB along the way. Often referred to as "A turnstile" Teddy Bridgewater's problem now 3) Joe Mcknight, played 39 games for the Jets. Had more regurgitations on the field than he did rushing TDs in his Jets career. Spent some time at CB because he and Kyle Wilson were both terrible at their original jobs. 4) John Conner, played 47 games for the Jets. Might be the only time in history a slow, one dimensional below average FB taken in the 5th round is considered the star of a draft class. He may still be on the roster - who knows
He's not on the roster anymore. T Bohanon back on after the injury. I 'll never forget all the talk about Conner and dubbing him The Terminator before he played. Then watching him run around like a chicken without a head... between him and Vlad my fuckin head was exploding....zero football sense from either of them that first year. Between those two and Wayne Hunter melting down the dropoff was precipitous, so ugly
"In New Orleans, Wilson will play for Rex Ryan's brother, Rob, who was smitten with him before the '10 draft. At the time, he was the Cleveland Browns' defensive coordinator."
Payton's gonna send him down to The French Quarter and get some Voodoo put on his ass....Give him somethin' to dance about
The fact that Rex didn't seem to want to bring him to Buffalo goes to show he's not worth a roster spot on any respectable defense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Leon was coming off of a bad injury. He had a few decent years as a return guy with Seattle and was on the Titans last year. But has never been the player he was early in his Jets career.
