Vince, your bro is a fine cornerback. He's barely allowed any receptions the last 2 games. Haters gonna hate but I see a pro bowl within the next few seasons in kyle's future.
Vince these guys are idiots. Kyle gave up what one reception on the first drive of the game? Was it disappointing? yes, but every CB is going to give things up. I would much rather see him giving up a first down by protecting the deep end than seeing him get beat deep on a double move. K-dub has been very good filling in the #2 role. He still has a ways to go to become an elite CB in the league, but he has made progress, and has really stepped up since Revis went down.
I think most are expecting too much from Kyle in probably the hardest position on defense. Yes he could be better, but he could be a lot worse. Revis and Cro are tough acts to follow. He has improve a good deal in the last couple of years, but I do think he would be a very good safety.
I have absolutely zero problems with Kyle on the outside or in the slot, but if you ask me you need to be a decent tackler for any of the safety spots... and to me #20 is an abysmal tackler. I can still visualize his plethora of missed arm tackles vs the 49ers...
I have no idea how people watching this season so far can take issue with Wilson's play. Of course he could do better, but there's only one Revis. Our secondary has continued to be good even after losing arguably the best defensive player in the league. Kyle Wilson has been a big part of that, and if you can't see that you just have no idea what you're looking at. Week after week I find myself embarrassed to be associated with Jets fans.
Wilson actually has been a really good tackler this year. He's one of the few guys on the Jets making plays in the run game.
Kyle WIlson is a good #2 corner. Nothing more & nothing less. He's not on a Revis or Cromartie level.Few are. It's the one position on the team the Jets are spoiled with. That said, I have noticed the transferable skills to safety as well. He has the perfect skill set & IS better w/ the play in front of him.
