Iupati would be such a good fit that even though a defensive pick (on either the line or in the secondary) would make more sense based on need, I feel like you can't pass him up if he's still on the board at 29.
I think Wilson or Iupati would be great targets for us, but acquiring one more 4th rounder and still getting one of them would be awesome.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-player-interviews/09000d5d81601841/Senior-Bowl-Jim-Schwartz-interview At the end of the vid they show Kyle Wilson's Rv (recreational veichle) hahahahahahaha Man this guy loves himself
Pat Kirwans Senior Bowl Standouts Given that of the seven players Pat has flagged as being the most impressive to date through practices include both Wilson and Iupati I think we will be lucky to see either still around when we pick, sadly.
Going with what Mambo and UKJets said, yesterday on the Senior Bowl coverage on NFLN, everyone was talking about Kyle Wilson. Not sure if I see him hanging around til the end of the 1st.
I love his physicality at the line of scrimmage very similar to Revis. If we got K-Dub im sure revis would tutor him and we would have a great cb combination for a long time. DO you think in interviewing cb prospects theyd bring revis to see if he thinks they have the right attitude?
This CB class is pretty deep... I'm sure a good corner will be there in the top 10 picks of the 2nd round (which is where I want to trade down)... Warren, Ghee, Cox, Wilson, Robinson, Franks (Oklahoma, solid guy) are all possible 2nd rounders at the moment... Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Amari Spievey, Trevard Lindley will be there in the 3/4th... Very deep class imo. I'd like to have Ghee on board... but at the moment it's too early to say which of those CBs will go into the 1st rd and which won't... the only sure thig is Hayden. Too bad Ras-I dowling didn't declare...
Chris Cook, the other defensive back out of Virginia, could be a steal in the later rounds. He's got good size and he's versatile - he can play corner and safety.
Kyle Wilson: Jets GM Tannenbaum praises CB Wilson Kyle Wilson - DB - CLG - Jan. 26 - 11:14 pm et Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum had high praise for Boise State CB Kyle Wilson in an interview at the Senior Bowl Tuesday. Wilson was a standout punt returner while doubling as a four-year starter for the Broncos. He also returned two of his senior-year interceptions for touchdowns. The more jobs you can do (the better)," Tannenbaum said. "I think he certainly will play for a long time, and he has good ball skills." Jan. 26 - 11:14 pm et Good News....sounds like a target of the Jets. Tanny said in his Presser today that Secondary will be a priority.
People are really sleeping on DMC. He was probably the best defensive back in the Big East last season, at least of all the teams I've seen. He's got great size, great speed, and he is just a really good player.
I'm a big Brandon Ghee fan also. I think Wilson is an all-around better athlete and an awesome kick returner. I wouldn't be surprised if Wison is late rd 1 pick with Ghee a mid rd 2 selection. Funny, I wasn't very high on the CB class of 2010, but some are showing progress at the Senior Bowl...especially Wilson and McCourty. The Combine will be the true test and I think Wilson is going to do very well. BTW, Mambo, don't forget to PM me your 2 players on your Lion's Draftboard, unless you're going to be around tomorrow might around 9:00 P.M Eastern.
