Well he wanted to come back in the game according to the article, and they are saying "its not too serious", can I have some hope?
Na, you have to ask Champ for any official team info.....LOL. I have a feeling he'll be ready, but the official announcement will probably come Sunday to sike out the other team, maybe....
Don't know man, back problems on 350 LB monsters are not good at all... even if he comes back I think this might become a year long issue... hopefully its just a pinched nerve or something...
my only concern regarding Jenkins is this....if it's not too serious like Mangini said...why did they remove him from the game...he wasn't even on the sideline.
Mangini mentioned during his news conference today that Jenkins was on the verge of coming back in the game at multiple points yesterday. I'd like to hear from Jenkins what he thinks his odds are/were.
Honestly, that's what I'm thinking, we are gonna need Jenkins for the long haul. Although I think when Jenkins went out the game was still in reach.
What I read is that he wanted to be on the sideline. To share in the loss(or win) with the rest of his team. It sounded like he didn't want to abandon his team. That didn't tell me whether he felt up to playing or not. So, I'm keying off of, "I don't know what's up right now, so I'm not going to discuss it," he said. I'd like to know what he thinks when he knows more. I don't trust the coaches to tell it to me straight about a players strategy.
Jenkins is Okay Don't know if it's been posted, but it looks like Jenkins (and Favre) will be ready to go this week: http://www.nj.com/sports/index.ssf/2008/09/eric_mangini_thinks_bret_favre.html
