Jenkins was obviously the monster in the middle; I could see why Gruden was doing cartwheels while calling Mangini just to thank him.

Jenkins is huge for our defense, but i think even bigger is the impact it has on letting Harris roam the field freely. He was a ball hawk yesterday against the run.

The one concern I have with the defense was several receivers wide open over teh middle, particularly the Tight end seam route.

I know we can't go back in time..but i think if we had Jenkins last season, and Vilma was healthy...Vilma would've thrived in the 3-4 scheme.

Yea, seriously...I underrated the hell out of this guy. I don't know if I made any posts here, but for the most part Jenkins was the guy that worried me the most. Lots of injuries + alot of weight gain aren't good because they both just get worse when mixed.

He's a ridiculously smart guy as well as being a smart player. We've actually got a NT.

Lets remember the Dolphins are a bad football team.

In all the years following this team...I cant remember a first game of the season where the GM looks like a genius. The offensive line gives Thomas Jones a hundred yards plus a touchdown (got his first rushing td last year during week 15).

Pace was outstanding. Lowery was outstanding.

This is with Farve having a decent game and Gholston doing not much at all.

I have a very very funny feeling about this team..and this year.

As much as I agree with you...lets not forget we had only 3 more wins then they did. Lets also remember that most of us agreed it would take this team almost a half season to gel.

Many of us agreed....lets just be 2-2 going into the bye...well Im tossing that out the window now.

With Brady going down...the Chargers lose in week 1...I want 3-1 now.

When your 350 plus your going to be tired in the 4th if you've been working all game. I say go easy on the big fella when its not absolutely necessary so that when you need him in the 2nd half he is there.

Some of you will say he is a pro or suck it up, blah blah blah but the fact is these really big NTs and DTs only have so many plays in them so it has to be spread out.

Good lord, is he impressive at what he does, great pick-up by the Jets.

I was at the game and 6 rows back from the Jets bench. That guy was a monster. In the beginning of the game the Fins single blocked him and he was 3-4-5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Then the Fins put another blocker on him and he was well 3-4-5 yards behind the line. The dude is a freakin beast.

One thing was he was rotated a bunch and still tired by the 4th quarter. He was out on passing downs 4 sure. Then again it was hotter then the 7th layer of hell out there. It was over 100 in the sun. When it cools down and the starters actually get into game shape (the starters hardly played in pre-season) he is going to be a complete beast.

Is there really a need for this thread? I'm a Fin fan and I even knew this guy would be a beast for ya'll. Jenkins wasn't a 3 year pro bowler for nothing. The guy is a beast. The only problem is he's gettign old, and unless you all win a super bowl within the next couple years, you will regret this signing after your salary cap is hell.

Hey buddy, I got news for you, this is a JETS fan site. If you don't like us being excited about players on our team that completely dominated the shitty players on your team on Sunday, then go somewhere else. Don't complain about it, because we'll continue to talk about it no matter how much you cry.

Again, please provide us with some evidence of the salary cap hell we're supposed to be in. You all want to believe this, but no one can give any evidence to support it.

Dominated? hahaha. Funny stuff right there. You play a much more better game than us, we make dumbass mistakes, we have the worst WR's in the league, our CB situation sucks, and you still have to sweat out a win, nice domination though... Can't wait to see the Jet's end the season at 6-10 and Favre retires, leaving ya'll wondering who the fuck is our QB going to be.

I was referring specifically to Jenkins, but the Jets did control that game from start to finish. You had a shot at the end for a Chad Pennington 2 minute drill , I'll give you that.

That's a little short-sighted. Are you implying that improving the offensive line (and overall, the running game) is not an improvement worth pursuing?

considering NTs can play the game until they are 36, and Jenkins is 29, I think you're fuckin retarded.

Jennkins, good until he's 36? Have fun believeing that. He's good one year, then falls off the next, good another year, falls off the next.

Either way Jenkins is sooo overrated. If you want to go by stats, Jason Ferguson is much better.

    Jones 101 yards.

    "R&R" 67 yards?

Considering what our rush defense has been and how Ronnie and Ricky usually do very well against the run D...

    Jenkins did great.
