Raiders gave teams alot of trouble when they implemented this defense, but teams found out the way to beat it was to pass. (pick on the DE/olb) It forced the Raiders out of this defense real quickly. Had to, Play with more DBs which in turn made them more suspectible to the run on. Right now I see jets having the same problems - laack of any coverge LBS and fact that their secondary still has alot of holes. Jets might be the Vikings of the east. Great against the run but very soft against the pass.

The Point is Jets better find some coverage LBs, or there defense , is going to collapse like a house of Cards. You can live with one of the LBs Calvin Pace or Bryan thomas in the lineup, but you can't live with Both playing together. They are the same player. You need a LB to complement them. (Keith Rivers)

Stop making it sound like 3-4 can never work just because it didn't in Raiderland. The Pats have been using it for years, tell me they have the same problem with Wilfork?

Actually if you watched Pace last year, he was very good at dropping back into coverage. If you put a guy like Gholston on the opposite side who specializes in rushing the passer, that addresses most of your concern.

As for hole in the secondary, do you mean Revis and Rhodes? As for coverage LBs, like Harris, who was always around the ball last year when he wasn't making QBs run for their lives? Plus whoever they draft.

You also have to remember they resigned Pouha, who was greatly improving last year. If Jenkins gets down to 360, which I have no doubt he will with all the incentives, and with Pouha giving him some relief during games, he can have quite a few years left.

This thread was started to call out Kris Jenkins. Jenkins was a beast for most of the year and started to fade because we don't have a sufficient backup to give him enough rest.

Once again, Joe, you've proven your football knowledge is nonexistent.

Hey genius, I owned you in that post, and everything I said was true (except for Pouha and Gholston which I already admitted to). You looked like a jackass then and you look like one now. So what was the point of digging this up other than to show off to everyone how utterly clueless you are?

By the way, you said the 3-4 defense nevers works because it didn't work for the Raiders AND that Jenkins was too big to be any good. THAT was the point of this thread, and you were wrong on both counts.

Why do you keep posting everything in my sig? Learn to use the computer. And why do you keep bringing up my posts? Do you have a crush or something?

You keep ignoring how I disproved your original claims that 1) the 3-4 doesnt' work because it didn't for the Raiders, and 2) Jenkins would bust because he was too big. YOU WERE WRONG ON BOTH ACCOUNTS.

You don't even realize you are making my point and proving yourself a fool.

I would say the Steelers and Ravens proved the 3-4 can be pretty effective....

Point of thread was about Jenkins and Jets making poor trade.
He made the pro bowl, made weight, was best player on entire field at times, and it was awesome trade.

he won't go near anything that he can't spin... its undeniable that Jenkins and Kelly have similar contracts, and yet Kelly is shit and Jenkins lived up to his expectations this year....

I truly believe Jeaux's personality is complete bullshit and he is fucking with all of us. That's why I never take him seriously anymore.

I've always wondered why he is on a Jets board when he is an Oakland fan. At least other team's fans don't troll.

I know, he's either an old Raider fan who is bitter about something the Jets did a long time ago in the late 60's or he's just really good at pretending to be this dumb and has been pissing us all off for years and its all a joke.

I have the ultimate picture to shut him up though:

if they go 4-12 next year, which is possible - the years above and the added 4-12 season will be a palindrome pattern of losing seasons.
