I watched pretty much every skins game and live an hour from DC and hear the buzz. There is a reason he keeps getting franchised, he wants too much $ for what he's worth. Stop the madness.
he threw for 5000 yards with only 12 ints..that makes him light years better than any qb other than favre to come along in the last 40 years. maybe you were drunk when you were watching.
Maybe you were drunk when you weren't. How many skins games have you watched the last 2 years? Me probably 25. All my family and friends are Skins fans. You're barking up the wrong tree. Stats aren't everything or Mahomes would be the first overall pick by a mile.
A good friend of mine is a die hard skins fan, and pretty knowledgeable about football in general.......... He's big on Cousins, and says he doesn't want to play there and that's why he wont agree to a contract. (not sure if he'd want to get involved in this shitshow but.....)
Your excuses don't override his stats. He is by far better than anything we have had in years. Don't worry though, we won't get him between a brain dead coach and a know nothing GM we wouldn't have a chance.
1 analyst said he would be a good fit. I am living in the middle of it and I can tell you from hearing and debating about it for a month that there is absolutely 100% chance he is a 49er or Skin next season. That's it.

That's the thing, sure we can trade for him then next year he walks and goes to reunite with Shanahan where he wants to go and we got fleeced for 2 first rounders for a one year rental. I'm not saying he's not good, probably a top 15 QB but not going to happen.
he can't play every position. the saints defense has been awful. brees is the only reason they aren't getting blown out every game and finishing with 1-2 wins eli cost as much as brees with much less performance. the giants have just drafted and coached better. and eli's overall record is worse then brees, and the giants have been in a weak division for the past 10-15 years.
He would only be here one year. No way he would sign a long term deal with this Franchise. Then your out your draft picks you traded , set Petty and Hack back further, put yourself out of draft position to have a shot at a FQB in 2018 and likely 2019.
If we want Cousins the conservative strategy would be to wait 1 year until he is a FA and save the draft picks.
Haha, I know. I feel for the guy, skins fans adored him and touted him as saving the franchise. He had a alcohol problem before joining the Redskins but was sober. Rappaport saying he fell off the wagon. If he would sober up I would kill to bring him in as an head of scouting.
Eli is more deserving of his salary than Cousins, please stop saying that Eli is overpaid and hasn't earned it. He has better numbers than half the guys in the HOF. If Terry the idiot Bradshaw can get into the HOF with his terrible stats and riding the coat tails of the Steelers defense and their run game, Eli is most definitely deserving of his money. Look at Elis body of work, it's excellent and I will guarantee you that Cousins will not accomplish a 1/3 of what Eli has accomplished. These comments are getting silly.
Cousins wants to go to the 49s. He'll sign the tender as a worse case and play the season in Washington. Then he is off to San Francisco. If Washington trades him, it's as a one year rental, especially if he is traded here.
eli has career numbers due to staying healthy and having support around him, but season by season he's had maybe 2 or 3 good ones. he's never been a 1st team pro bowler, never been an all pro, never been top 5 in the NFL and overall has been very average. bradshaw played in a different error. namath threw for 4k yards which was amazing back then, now brady and brees have thrown for 5k yards in a season. even stafford has too IIRC. eli has had probably 3 really good seasons, 3 really bad seasons, and a bunch of mediocre ones. kirk cousins 2 season as a starter were better then pretty much any of eli's 2 year stretches in his career and his 2016 season was far better then any season eli put together.

All good FQBs have a good support system around them, it's how your supposed to build a team. Your smart SGB and I like your insightful comments on some of the subjects. You remind me of a poster we had named Junc, he was a true jet fan but he stuck to a point of view that was incorrect many times and just refused to admit that he was wrong. You were wrong about Revis even though you argued to the end that the Jets and most GMs would agree with you. Now you are elevating Cousins based on 2 years to the same level of Eli. You are wrong again SGB when Kirk comes back down to earth and becomes an average QB, you will have to admit that Eli is worth his money and worthy of his status as a FQB. I'm going to post the last 2 season for Eli and Kirk tomorrow, you will see how close they were and other than passing yards in 2015 Eli was just as productive.
