At this point I’ll actually be pretty sad if we don’t get Kirk. But I know better than to get my hopes up for this team.
I heard some "NFL expert" on the radio the other day and he said that the Broncos like Keenum and expects them to sign him. If true, would the Jets be the only real bidders for Cousins??
As long as the Jets don't bid against themselves in that situation we're ok. Making Cousins the highest paid player in NFL history with nobody else bidding for his services seriously would be a franchise-altering mistake in my opinion. The Jets would be more competent with Cousins at QB and of that there is no doubt but if he's taking up a 6th of the cap it just won't matter in terms of competing for a Super Bowl.
There is nothing wrong with paying Cousins what he wants. If not Cousins than who are you paying? The Jets dont have anybody worth handing big money to currently on the roster
I’ve been saying all along I don’t think Denver is a great spot for Cousins or the Broncos. At the end of the day though Elway usually gets his man.

Just because you have "big money" doesn't mean you HAVE to do anything..just because Anderson and L Williams are on Jets and not worth an investment it doesn't you gotta make a worse mistake with millions to Cousins...Garropolo was worth it for Niners..Rosen , Darnold Mayfield are better than Kirk..maybe even J Allen..cost MUCH less
I’m starting to see a path to Barkley being available at 6 which makes me want Cousins more. 1. Darnold 2. Rosen 3. Chubb 4. Minkah 5. Mayfield That’s an immensely improved offense with Cousins and Barkley plus probably an OL or two in FA and still the two 2nds to continue building OL and adding more weapons.
Cousins and Barkley is the wet dream for me. Completely rebuilds the offense with two moves. Draft OL in the second with our pick, pass rush with the Seattle pick. It’s way too good to be true so bank on us ending up with Josh Allen.
Here’s my question: If the Jets do sign Cousins, can we all agree to have a seize-fire for 2 years before we destroy the guy? The board is so much better when we are all constructively offering ideas or ways to improve the team and debating. NOT attacking each other or saying “I told you so”.

AYFKM? Learn the cap and understand it's competitive ramifications. "Oh, If Cousins wants $30M a year we should just pay that whether anybody would pay him more than $20M other than us is irrelevant!"
There is no logic or reason to what he posted. He CLAIMS Cousins is not elite, but he's very good. Kirk Cousins is not even very good, he's AVERAGE and not one bit better. That's why him playing for the Jets gives the Jets an express ticket to be mediocre. He's not good enough to go any better than 8-8, 9-7, or a best 10-6. He's never good enough to even get the Jets to be hosting a playoff game. He's at best one and done on the road. He's NEIL O'DONNELL.
The Neil O’Donnell comparison continues to be dopey. Logic and reason dictates that when guys like Foles, Flacco, Eli, Dilfer, etc. go on to win rings by being painfully mediocre and even below average, that means you can win a ring with an average QB. It’s almost like if you build a complete TEAM you can win a title. Put a great defense on the other side of the ball and all of a sudden you’re a player. Christ, we were a play away from friggen Bortles vs Foles in the Super Bowl and you’re over here telling me you can’t win without an elite QB. Also you saying he’s average doesn’t actually make him average, that’s just your opinion.
Cousins Value has just been set not really... just because someone decides to overpay for something doesn't mean the rest have to... if cousins thinks there's a sucker out there that will pay him the same if not more than he should go for it... all I know is... from me he'll just hear crickets.
