I have watched about 4-5 Oklahoma games this season, so a big enough sample size to know I want him. We need a winner. That winning attitude needs to be in that locker room. He carried that team all season.

I think we’re going to be fine if we can sign Bridgewater somehow and then draft Jackson. That’s the next best thing.

This sounds like one of the worst possible options, but to each their own I guess.

Unfortunately, I don't even know if we are smart enough to go get Mayfield anyway....

What other options do we have? Mccarron? I don’t think any of these rookie qbs can come and win right away. And u can’t expect them to. Bridgewater is the best win now option left

Cousins is on his way to meet with Minny right now. Man, I’m going to be furious if we don’t even get a meeting with him.

Bridgewater wasn't that good to begin with and is coming off a major injury that is probably career-altering. I'd much rather bring back McCown, let him start the first few weeks and let whatever QB we draft take over from there. It's going to be a lot harder to bench Bridgewater than it is McCown.

What's the best case scenario with Bridgewater? He either walks in a year or you end up paying him based off one good year. Maybe if you're lucky and you find a team dumb enough... you can trade him after a good first half of the season? And that's assuming he'll be good which is a pretty big assumption.

The best non-Cousins QB option was always bringing back McCown and drafting someone at 6. So just go with it.

Just got notification we will go for Teddy if we don't get Kirk. I would be happy with that. Dude still has a good ceiling.

i'd rather go with bridgewater. it gives you two bites at the apple (assuming we got a QB in the draft) to have a young QB with potential. McCown might make more sense for NEXT year, but that is really it. if bridgewater flops, i do not think it is a big deal

The Kirk fantasy mirage was just that. It was fun while it lasted to think we even had a real shot.

How did the Jets fail miserably? If we are so pathetic that he never wanted to sign with us then the Jets never had a chance and you have nothing to complain about if that is your issue.

Screw Teddy. Trade up for 1 overall if we can’t get Kirk.

That would cost way too much probably. 2, or 3 makes more sense.

It was fun to think the Jets could turn it around quick. Agreed. Now we must suffer through another 5-11 to 7-9 season with McCown, or a rookie, or Hack etc. I thought maybe the Jets could pair Cousins with Robinson or Watkins. Draft a top RB, and the offense would be ready to roll in 2018. Instead, SOJ. I am proud of myself for remaining optimistic and not just assuming the worst like many Jets fans. Turns out they were right though. It's okay. Mac still has time to improve the team and field a solid 2018 roster.

Man I just went from excited to not even caring about the draft. I just know we're gonna fuck this up.

Better watch out for those Bills. They have more than enough ammo to move ahead of us now.

That's literally the worst way to draft/evaluate a QB.

Sorry my casual fandom doesn't agree to your evaluating standards. Still don't give a fuck. I want him.

They have the picks but so do we. We do have 2 2nd round picks you know. And we have the 6th pick, which holds a substantially larger value than the 12th.
