I used to love to hear Bill Clement and Gary Thorne announce hockey games. As far as Jets are concerned, I mute the games. I don't need to hear the announcers biased comments against the Jets while they compound it by playing poorly.
You know who was a good radio color commentator was Dave Jennings....maybe the only guy that played for Giants and Jets but seemed to prefer the Jets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Our 2 worst games have been called by Harlan & Gannon this year. @Oak & @Hou. Say what you want about Fouts but we got a good thing going with him & Eagle. They called the last 2 games, and the Miami London game
My favorite sportscaster is Kevin Harlan. However, the Jets are 0-2 this year with him calling the game.
Curt Gowdy did a lot of Jets games on TV in the 60 & 70s. Because the home games were not on TV, I remember Merle Harmon and Sam DeLuca on radio a lot back then. I think Marty Glickman worked with Dave Herman In the 70s, The Jets started appearing on TV every Sunday (including home games) around '78. Before then, they were not selling out every home game. I remember Costas and Trumpy doing a lot of Jet games back then. Trumpy hated Todd ("The way he pats that ball is tragic"). Marv did lot of Jet games through the 80-90s. Joe Willie was the color commentator very often with Marv or Tom Hammond. John Brodie once said that Gastineau looked like he had "palsy" when doing a sack dance. He got into some trouble by the then newly emerging "PC police". Paul McGuire made his name (whatever name he had) by deriding the Jets in '86 and picking them to lose ever week during the 10 game winning streak.
Not sure he does ..I just think we have a sensitive fan base...he was the color guy for the Monday Night Miracle and was great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm going to the game so I don't care but if Cindy Lauper and Carrot Top were announcing the game I'd be pretty perturbed. _
