As I think about what another posted said about hoping that he leaves without being a distraction and analyzing Ryan's press comments for instance, "I'll be a man of my word." Kerry may have asked for a trade when he got got embarrassed with the benching. If that is the case and they have decided to handle it behind close doors and work a deal then I commend Kerry on his silence.

Football is a team sport. The best players either spend most of their time talking about the team or not talking. If you hear somebody spending a lot of time talking about himself or his achievements or his effect on the game the odds are pretty good you should point him at a tennis court or a golf course and suggest he go try that instead.

There have been very few self-centered players who actually had a real impact on the NFL. Deion Sanders, maybe Terrell Owens, might be a few others in there but when you hear somebody tooting their own horn the odds are pretty good they're not in the team's parade.

After listening to the press conference, I think Kerry's days are numbered as a Jet. Whenever someone asks Rex a similar question about another player, Rex always praises them non stop and says something like "he's a phenomenal player and we hope to have him for a long time." He said that about Braylon today right after talking about Rhodes.

I hpe Rhodes is gone next year. I think we could easily upgrade at the S position for less money than this headcase is getting. I was almost on his side after he started to show some fire late in the year, but he looked lazy and lackluster in the playoffs - this is not the guy for the future of our team.

Rhodes was one of our best players on D in the playoffs and during the late season run.

Getting rid of Rhodes would be a mistake...unless we got a good safety to replace him...and we upgraded Sheppard...then not so much.

If we do trade him, we better get good value. Tons of teams would love to take such a "problem" off of our hands.

He did make some good plays for us late and in the playoffs but he also looked hesitant at times and didnt appear to give 100% all the time. He wasn't terrible, but he also didn't seem to thrive in Rex's D like alot of other players did. At this point I think we'd be better off replacing him.

The Jets are going to keep Kerry Rhodes. Who else is going to oil up Braylon? I am pretty sure David Harris won't.

Edwards: Hey, David, can you get my back?

    Harris: .../angry stare

Edwards: It's not gay or nothing. I just need someone to rub this oil into my back muscles so they glisten

    Harris: .../glares through Edwards' sole

    Edwards: Kerry would do it.

Harris: Is that before or after he pranced around the room and failed to wrap up on a tackle?

I couldn't agree more. Kerry is a very good safety and getting someone to replace him and his skills would be tough. Finding a great safety is very hard. And if you find someone who isn't good, you will KILL your defense by getting burned every time down the field. Don't be so quick to want to trade him.

I used to be a big Kerry fan, but honestly, someone else could do just as good or better at free safety. Losing him would not be like losing a star, it would be like losing a guy who we thought was a star.

If tons of teams want him, we will get more than good value for him. If not, then we won't get good value. That's all there is too it

I said it b4 too, he is so ass hurt over the Benching and fails to admit that it lit a fire and he started playing better.

Maybe he'll step away grow the fuk up and says he wants to be here and will give100% because he now realizes that REX did the right thing.

Or maybe he'll stay behind 7-11 suking dik who knows?
