I'm thinking this has to be something more than a Jetblue announcement. Why would he think any Jet fan would give a shit about that? It won't make tickets cheaper, it won't make PSLs cheaper, hell it won't even make beer cheaper. All that would do is make Johnson richer.
Kerry Rhodes just wrote: "jet fans tune in 2day at 1pm" Guess we'll find out soon Edit: aah just a bit too late
Jet fans, tune in at 1pm today when Kerry informs us all that he is replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol. REAL Jet fans will know this is a great thing. This is going to tunr out to be something absurdly unimportant and yet Kerry performed masterfully at generating buzz over it. Now if he was just as good on the field as he is at getting people rabid over stupid shit, we might have something.
We're going to learn that the Jets R&D team have developed a new "Jets Fan" flavored Dorito... and it's going to taste like misery!
Wait a minute. WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE. For the fans... not football related... this can only mean one thing... STRIPPERS AT THE NEW GATE D!!!
Yeah, I have had this feeling over the past couple of weeks that Mangini's whole not-telling-who-the-starting-QB-is shenanigans is more about ferreting out information leaks within the organization than it is about gameplanning or QB controversy.
It will leak today and maybe even before the first practice is over. Somebody will do it just to spite him. I can't imagine he is any more loved there than he was here.
 Nice. -------------------- Anyway, I can't believe people are still freaking out about this, or getting bent out of shape that it's probably about the JetBlue deal or something of that nature. He never said it was about Marshall. He never said it was about Leon. He gave a little "hehe" type response when someone said it was Clemens being traded, and people ran with it like it was gospel. 09/06/2009 6:14pm: 09/06/2009 6:34pm: Sure, I started to think maybe it was about Marshall too, but the first thing I thought when I saw this "news" break was "Come on people. Kerry Rhodes plays safety, not public relations." Getting caught up in the "It's gotta be Marshall" hype is on me not Rhodes. Anyone who is that bent about duping themselves should really log off and take some time out in the real world. Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, whatever. They're all toys. Taking them that seriously is silly.
