IMO, for now, an INT or two per game keeps him in the running for a nice trade with somebody... something like a 2nd or 3rd Round perhaps, while he's still hot.

Trade him after the season. Ryan wants hard-playing, intimidating guys like Revis, Leonard and Smith, not career-protectors.

Ehm... I've listened through the whole coordinators corner thing and this is what Pettine had to say about that.

    1) We are happy with rotating our 3 safeties rotation.

    2) You all keep asking if Rhodes is back in since he's done some good things but you all forget Smith hasn't done any bad thing to get taken out... he's actually played really well.

    3) E. Smith is our best special teamer... if on some plays he's too tired because he just covered a kick or something we'll put Rhodes in his place.

That to me seems as though Rhodes isn't in the base package... I'll post the transcripts here when they put them on the nyjets.com site.

PS It's my impression that they are playing Good cop vs Bad cop with Rhodes... Rex is the good guy and Pettine is the bad one... do you think that could make him motivated?
