I feel like Kerry's main goal is to get his name out there to as many people as possible. I blame this on that douchebag who shook his head at the Sanchez pick (Gary V). That guy is all about self promotion and using twitter and other media outlets to get his name out there. Kerry has been listening to this douche bag too much. Since he's no longer making a name for himself on the field, Kerry is stirring up controversy to get people talking about him. But it's backfiring on him, since none of the media outlets are really defending him.

That's kind of a stretch. I think it's playing out exactly how we see it. Rhodes played well, got a fat contract, stopped caring and now he's getting indignant b/c Rex expects him to put in some effort. I'm sure his bitching is in part to get his name out there.. but all malcontent players do that. And it isn't really backfiring - if his reputation goes down, the only thing that hurts is his trade value. Someone will definitely give him a chance, he already has his contract, and he's one step closer to getting out of NY.

If Rhodes was a football, I would have become a kicker or a punter. Since he's a football player, I would like to become the bus that run him over...I mean literally. This piece of shit hasn't done anything like he's getting paid and is trying to take a dumb on the Jets? Fuck this asshole and send him packing. Couple of good years and thats it.

If I was Rex, I would make him sit out the rest of the season regardless of what position we are in. That will teach him a good lesson to STFU.

Some tell Rhodes that when you tackle you don't turn your head then throw a weak shoulder out ...maybe he wouldn't look so terrible, Oh and I learned this in little league; don't wait for the runner to plow you over when tackling - you are supposed to charge the runner.

Smith hits guys and makes them go back to the huddle asking the quarterback not to run that play again. Kerry Rhodes causes the exact opposite.

Let him go to another team. Play that team and run at Rhodes the entire game.

I'd like to see him moved to the practice squad immediately via a Rex Ryan press conference. That would send a major message to the rest of the teams.

I'm willing to give this guy a shot. I know he hasn't been hitting like he used to, but I think he's gonna' wake up. Even though he's not hitting like Ed Reed, I think he's still better than half the safeties out there right now. I think he redeems himself today.

    nice jump.

he gets a reprieve when he takes all the snaps away from Smith who is still outplaying him.

That was a pretty nice catch... I think he had some rare sightings making hits at the line of scrimmage, but I could be wrong... looks like the only way to make this guy play is to mess with his ego

    QBs Rhodes has picked off:
    -Jake "Third-Down-Punter" Delhomme
    -Josh Freeman

When he plays well against a good, experienced QB, I'll be a little sad about the Jets trading him next season.

At first I was sad when he got the INT because I thought he was going to bitch to much about it... now though I'm happy because that will help us get something more when we trade him.

The problem with Rhodes is he will never be the player Ryan wants him to be. He doesn't fit the system..he's not a physical player and he doesn't make up for it with an all-world football IQ.

It's a fine line everyone has to walk here...he can't perform so well that the FO seriously considers keeping him, but he's gotta perform well enough that we get SOME value out of trading him

Until last year, he was leading the league in sacks for a DB since 2003. He's a physical player when he wants to be. He just really does not want to be one.

the dude has the football IQ. that's why he held the film meetings when his ego wasn't bigger than the new stadium.

He just is so afraid of getting hurt but he wants to be known as one of the best. he's just a waste of talent.

He should be worried about getting hurt. No one wants to look at gay clothes on a guy with a cast.
