I read Stewart showed nothing and that is why they bought in Kerley. Granted Stewart caught those Petty passes in garbage time but for the most part he was absent this summer.
I think both he and Hansen flashed a bunch in preseason and I think both will still be heavily featured. If they brought back Kerley to take reps away from Stewart it would not look good on Macc's part.
If Kearse and Kerley can help sustain drives then it was good to add both. Repeated 3 and outs would limit the young guys overall reps about as much as competing with K&K for time. The additions of Kearse and Kerley will help Anderson, as he wont be the main receiver anymore and hopefully the Jets wont call for him to go over the short middle where he will be destroyed. The K&K additions will hopefully help Petty and Hack because they need veteran receivers who know how to get open. Not sure why you would want 3rd and 4th round rookies to start immediately anyway. Better to work them in as the season progresses.
lol what's sad is that at one point we had the best in the NFL. revis, cro, and skrine. we looked set for a while and it all went haywire really fast, only further proving that "NFL" stands for "Not For Long"
