We really should get him out of here as soon as possible. This team doesn't need a distraction like this. He's a good player, but he's not the anchor of our line. As for trade value, I don't see an 11 year veteran commanding any more than a 7th or MAYBE a 6th round pick in a best case scenario. I guess the LG spot could go to Adrian Jones? This is where we could have used Trey Teague...
Im not concerned about the Lg spot in the least. In fact I'm excited about a poetntial upgrade. Jones, Clarke, Smith and Bender will compete for that spot. Those 4 are all guys w/ good physical ability. It is well documented that young competition in the trenches is usually a VERY good thing that can really jump start an OL unit. We could potentially find a long term fix at LG in between Brick and Gold', save some money, and upgrade the talent.
You know; when a player is playing standout football you tend to notice that player. Kendall had a hand in a lot of plays last year. This was highlighted by that video post area that was listed in a previous thread and I watched all of those clips of the Jets games and Kendall was highlighted in several games as throwing a key block. Why not reward the guy. With that being said when a player is bitching about money openly to the media you tend to notice all the bad characteristics of that player and get to find out that he was released from his former team for being a rat and causing locker room displays that brought the moral down. I know the coaches weigh this I there decision and probably would release him as well if he's the rat that has the NFLPA looking into our practices; the No comment is actually a confirmation of his guilt! I think they should part ways with this guy and hope they don?t get burned for hanging on to a whiner. Mangold and brick are good examples of the youth movement and I think we can get good production or matching production from our draft pick!!
