https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...s-guilty-identify-theft-covid-19-relief-fraud This brought back memory of the last play of that game, potential game winning catch. How does this even happen! ———————— https://www.espn.com/blog/new-york/...ns-on-catch-that-got-away-i-would-have-scored Who would have ever thought that would be the last time we would even sniff the playoffs!!! Meh, whatever. When I think of the Jets blowing this game, Kenbrell Thompkins is a blip on the radar compared to Fitzpatrick's interceptions and Watkins owning Revis.
As soon as Marshall dropped that first pass (first play from scrimmage?) I knew we weren't winning that game. That and the fuckboy for a punter Ryan Quigley we had that booted that 19 yard ball out of the end zone really stick in my mind. Ben Graham would've sent that ball to fucking Taiwan.
Certainly Tompkins not catching that was not the reason we lost, but would have been highlight real stuff, and good memory. But don’t think we win even we get to those playoffs. But at least we would have gotten there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To go from an NFL receiver to cheating COVID 19 funds, just crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was at that game, frozen. From my viewpoint it didnt look close at all but seeing the video replay there he did have his hands on it, thats shocking to me
The '81 Wildcard game vs. the Bills was much more of a heartbreak for me. Half the fans left Shea that cold damp day. I sat through the game till the bitter end... armed with a flask of cheap brandy and the warming thought that I'd soon be moving to California. It was a great game if you love interceptions... fucking Richard Todd... The New York Jets were on the verge of the greatest comeback in NFL playoff history today before Bill Simpson's interception near the goal line in the final seconds preserved the Buffalo Bills' 31-27 victory at half-empty Shea Stadium.
Now I remember that play. I remember it because not only were we fucked right at the end, in Jets fashion, but with that jersey number it reminded me of when Santonio hurt himself and threw the ball to a defender.
Remember it was 1st time in years that jets made playoffs. Game started miserably. I think fumble on kickoff. But turned out to be One of the great games in jets lore, jets down by 24, come back and lose in last play. So close. Very exciting, fun to watch, but didn’t turn out jets way. At least we have Monday night miracle…. But we went to AFC championship year later. Was good team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I vividly remember how the crowd went increasingly berserk as Jets narrowed the lead. By the 4th quarter the tiers at Shea were violently rocking up and down. And then Todd threw that last pass... and the silence was deafening.
I was watching on my 21 inch tube TV, literally screaming and jumping up and down. He didn’t see Simpson. Actually I remember the wr was open if he just put a little air under it. I think it was gafney. I know it was such a let down. Can’t imagine being at the game! I was at the 2010 championship game in Pitt. Man what a let down when Steelers made that 1st down at end of that game. Watching game at Shea was crazy, it was last time jets really had a stadium.
