While I agree the MW is no SEC but look Watkins plays in the ACC which sucks also and he may be the 1st WR taken while Matthews is also a good player I disagree with your stance and feel that Adams is a better receiver.

That's fine, and I think Adams will be a solid NFL receiver.

I'd rather have the guy who was productive in a major conference on a team who threw the ball 20 times less per game on average.

Plus the kid is Jerry Rice's cousin. Just saying.

  3. I like Marquis Lee the best.

Jets need somebody on O who can create big plays.NOT just w/ deep balls but w/ yards after catch.

Lee is multi-talented & would really help this offense.

Yeah, but I just dont see the upside that a few other WR's in this class have, or at least the likelihood of that upside. IMO, Lee has a better chance at being Santonio Holmes or Jeremy Maclin, rather than Marvin Harrison.

At this point, the best WR for the Jets is the most talented WR on the board. Who knows what the scheme will be in 2 years.

You won't hear any complaints from me if we drafted Jordan Matthews. There are so many great receiver prospects in this draft.

we have a ton of picks, we need an impact offensive talent

if the price is low say a 1/3/7 to go get Watkins I'm doing it

We have a ton of late picks, if the comp picks come out as projected. Keep in Mind you can not trade those picks.

Late picks are nice, but trading high choices for one player is a big party of our depth problem now. We need to build by adding as many quality players as possible. That means not overpaying free agents and not trading multiple picks for one guy.

If Watkins is the impact player you think he could be, why would someone take such a low offer? Why not just draft him themselves? You need to look at why the deal makes sense from both sides when projecting a trade.

    He's Very Fast

Gets good separation and I've never seen him get caught from behind.

Watkins is a gamebreaker. He's got NFL stud written all over him. OTOH, I sometimes worry about those West coast WR's. I know, West Coast bias, but I just see them in those pass happy offenses and then they get to the pros and just become very average quite often. They also play a little softer and not as physical as the Southern WR's do, on average.

Those Southern football players are just so pro ready these days it's crazy. I know Clemson is not in the SEC but they're right in the heart of that super fertile football area and they recruit SEC type athletes. It's no coincidence that they've had a few top 5 recruiting classes in the last couple years.

Off the top of my head I think of Calvin, AJ, Dez, AJ Green, Josh Gordon, Marshall, Jeffrey, D Thomas, Julio Jones. All top 10 NFL WR's and all from the Southeast or Texas.

if there is a team who doesn't need him picking ahead of us we would do that deal

I'm only suggesting moving up at most 5 spots to get our guy

He's got it, I feel like he'll take this offense to the next level and be a 7 or 8 catch 100+ yard guy a game for us

Agreed. I'm thinking the same kind of big time production. Instant impact player.

He has huge hand. He's a stud. The only reason he doesn't have more catches is because Winston is a 1st overall pick kind of QB who can read defenses and spread the ball to the open guy.

    Didn't see this earlier.

If you were talking 5 spots from 13 to 7 its the value of adding in your second and getting back a 5th or adding in your 3rd, 4th and 5th.

There is no cheap date to bump up high into round 1.

Now that we fell to 18 the chances are more remote at a guy like Watkins.
